Concepción is always a good destination to visit. What yes, and being summer, there are few options to get together to eat or drink something in the civic center on a Sunday. The places in the Paicaví sector (university) were already closed at 8:30 p.m.

Good place to walk around looking for a restaurant. This seems to be somewhat of a cultural center of Concepcion. There are a couple of good brewpubs within walking distance of this plaza. When do you have visited and they were having a flea market in the center of the plaza with a number of interesting items.

During the day is a great place to share with friends. It has many little restaurants and bars to go.
But at nights, it's a no authority zone where college students drink freely on the streets, pee on every corner and develop an insecurity environment.
It's a good place to go and eat lunch on weekends, but do not stay there after 9 or 10 pm.

Plaza Peru is much more recommendable then the real center of the city - here are many nice restos and bars close by and all services are provided here.

Free wifi, with restaurants, close to parks and art museum. There was a lot of traffic and noisy construction, and car alarms going off which wasn't pleasant.
