The serene and atmospheric ruins of ta prohm: a must-see!
The ancient ruins are surrounded by a lush jungle, with towering trees that have grown around and through the structures. The atmosphere is serene and peaceful, and you can almost feel the history of the place. It's an incredible experience to walk through the ruins and marvel at the ancient trees that have taken over the area. Ta Prohm is a must-see for anyone who wants to experience the beauty of nature and the past!

TA Prohm with guide Sothik Sov
We visited about eight temples and this is the best of the lot (they’re all beautiful). Overgrown with dramatic trees and roots, restored in places and left untouched in others, with its delicate green and red hues and gorgeous carvings, this is a magical place to visit (recommended first thing on the morning to avoid crowds, though it was fine when we visited mid-morning). We went with guide Sothik Sov (part of a full sunrise at Angkor tour). He tells amazing stories of growing up in the grounds of the temples, is a true temple-architecture enthusiast and Cambodian history buff, and great company. He can be found on +855 98 469 628 (WhatsApp)

Secret Trail of Ta Prohm Temple
It is the great walk from east entrance outer-side to north corner and turn left through the jungle to the North Gate of Ta Prohm, It was amazing, so quiet and hear different bird songs. We saw beautiful smiling faces in the middle of jungle. then walking through the small trail to the temple. Best way to do to avoid from the crowded.

    ruins reclaimed by nature
Visited here in the afternoon on 24-Dec, 2023. A band of locals playing melodious music in the woody areas outside the temples, feels magical. The trees and plants growing on the temples and nature slowly reclaiming the ruins is a sight to behold!

    fabulous temple in nature
so cool to experience!!!! our guide showed us the stegosaurus - wow. you could almost watch the trees taking back the land, destroying and swallowing the structures. apparently the famous face sticking out from the tree roots is no more (not sure if that is true but this is what we were told). don't miss!!!

This is an amazingly unique experience. The history is interesting and the temple itself, with large tree trunks growing in it, is fascinating.

It's a fun experience to walk through and surprisingly entertaining.

This was an amazing experience! The amount of art and history is outstanding. The history is so rich. Of course it has been pilfered thru out the history but it still stands. You have to use your imagination to see what it had to look like in the beginning with all the, jewels, stones and figures before it was robbed.
