A rewarding and valuable experience. 🌺
We were truly impressed with our tour with Vuthi. He gently guided us through Angkor Wat, sharing a wealth of knowledge of the past and present life in the area. We had not intended to engage a guide but felt very comfortable with how Vuthi approached us and so accepted his offer to guide us. Thank you Vuthi! 🌺

    A must visiting temple!
Angkor Wat, the city which is a temple is the most imposing mountain temple ever built by a Khmer king, the quality of its construction, the moats representing the cosmic ocean, but also its wonderful bas-reliefs, have no equivalent on the Angkor site. This has led most experts to consider that Angkor Wat constituted the apogee of Khmer architecture. If you have tour guide with accurate knowledgeable of Temples and histories, can make your whole experience is unforgettable.

    Great tour, great guide
Our guide for the day, Sim, gave us a fantastic tour of the entire temple complex! He was so knowledgeable about the history, culture, and even the local plants/trees. Sim speaks very good English and has a great sense of humor :) An amazing day exploring Angkor Wat!

    Must see
Amazing experience everyone should go in their lifetime. The best way is to get a tuk tuk driver to take you around to all the nearby temples and Angkor. Our driver mr houen houem was so nice and took us all around for only $20 I would highly recommend you contact him for your trip! He provided cold water and wet towels and we had an amazing time. His WhatsApp is +855 86780 213. Enjoy your visit! My other advice is get good walking shoes there are lots of stirs and walking and you want to be comfortable- also of course cover shoulders and wear pants / shorts/ skirts below knee, and get your ticket online in advance to save time

Wonderful and Fun with the Local Tour to Angkor Wat
Select this Angkor Wat Sunrise Tour without a doubt! We had the most wonderful time ever. Throughout the entire voyage, Rith, our guide, and Nak, our driver, have been incredibly nice and helpful. They arrived on time and provided water the entire time. They took us to areas that other people didn't see while we were at the three temples of Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom, and Taprom. The experience was wonderful and a lot of fun. Lunch and breakfast were excellent. 100/100!

    Awesome, just awesome.
Awesome and a must visit. I went with my family and they all loved the place. I recommend to do a guide. Else it’s just temples which you will visit without knowing the history. Split the tour in 3 days if you are with kids. The guide will take you for traditional Khmer cuisine lunch. Which is also good.

    Amazing!
Angkor Wat is the whole trip to Cambodia worth the money. What an amazing place and strangely not a world wonder (but just a heritage)… Make sure to bring plenty of water and good walking shoes. Maybe visit from east if you go early - then light is better for photography!

Visiting Angkor Wat temple in Siem Reap, Cambodia, was a truly awe-inspiring experience! The temples's grandeur and intricate carvings are absolutely breathtaking, showcasing the architectural genius of the Khmer Empire. Walking through the ancient corridors and exploring the vast complex made me feel like I was stepping back in time.
The sunrise at Angkor Wat is a must-see-it's an unforgettable sight as the sun rises behind the iconic silhouette of the temple. The surrounding temples, like Bayon and Ta Trohm, are equally fascinating and add to the overall magical atmosphere.

Seyha and Mr. Sorphorne are best team ever. Our driver, Seyha was courteous, efficient and professional. I appreciated the cool water he kindly offered. Mr. Sorphone was knowledgeable and very passionate about the temples. He definitely knows his stuff. He quickly realized my husband’s passions for monkeys and lizards and made special efforts to guide us where he knew they would be. Truly a great adventure! I was especially impressed with Mr. Sorpborne’s command of the English language. Request this team if you are able.

It is really a magnificent & a huge temple. The details of the architecture were insane, also the drawings on the walls represent the story of the kingdom.

One of the best or maybe it is the best....
My wife and I visited Siem Reap, as part of a trip through Vietnam and Cambodia, The tour was with the operator Cambodia Journey and so the visit to Angkor Wat / the best other temples. It was prearranged by Cambodia Journey, including a local guide to give us a high level of specific history and knowledge.
It was a real journey our tour guide Mr. Bum OMG What a guy. Excelent!!!!..
No sure if it is the best or maybe one of the best ever tour.
Go visit Cambodia and look for Cambodia Journey... they are good...

My Uncle & I visited Cambodia for the first time in April 2024. 95% of overseas visitors to Siem Reap have the intention to visit the world-renowned UNESCO Heritage monument of Angkor Wat. However, Angkor Wat is just one of MANY ancient temples located around Siem Reap. During our vacation here, we visited 26 ancient temples and the 4 gates of Angkor Thom. I will share some useful information based on my personal experience and lessons that I learned during my trip, to help all future visitors to the ancient temples of Angkor.

1) IMPORTANT NOTE 1: Although the weather in Cambodia in March & April is hot & dry, it is the BEST TIME to visit the ancient temples of Angkor, because this is the low season for tourism here. Hotel rates will be cheaper and there will be less crowds at the large temples like Angkor Wat, the Bayon Temple and the Tomb-raider temple called Ta Prohm. You will also have conducive weather to visit all the ancient temples that are located off the beaten track, some of them are located inside the jungle and require visitors to walk a fair distance on dirt tracks through the jungle. During the rainy season(May to October), some of these paths will be flooded and become inaccessible.

2) IMPORTANT NOTE 2: Hire a local professional guide who is fluent in the language of your choice. Most overseas visitors who visit the temples will book a private tuk-tuk or air-conditioned vehicle to bring them around, but they fail to realize the advantages of hiring a local guide. The ancient temples of Angkor are ENORMOUS!!!If you do not have a local tour guide, you will be wandering around the passageways and corridors of these temples aimlessly, without any clear direction to walk, and waste heaps of your precious vacation time. My uncle & I hired Mr. Kim, an English-speaking professional Cambodian guide, to bring us to visit the temples and this was THE BEST DECISION of our vacation here! Mr. Kim guided us through all the temples efficiently, pointing out details that most other visitors missed, telling us the history of the temples and stories depicted on the wall sculptures, etc. Mr. Kim also planned our entire itinerary for us, I came to Siem Reap with the intention of visiting 23 temples. He exceeded my expectations and brought us to visit 26 temples and the 4 gates of Angkor Thom, within 4 days, including a couple of temples which are located 37km outside of Siem Reap city. Therefore, hiring a local guide will improve your vacation experience tremendously if you intend to visit the ancient temples of Angkor. There are local tour guides who speak French, Spanish, Italian, German, Korean, Japanese, Chinese and English.

3) IMPORTANT NOTE 3: Purchase your ticket to the Angkor Archeological Park ONE DAY BEFORE you begin visiting the temples. Most overseas visitors purchase their tickets on the morning that they begin their temple tours, and the ticketing office is always seriously crowded in the early mornings because of this. My Uncle & I went to the ticketing office at 2.30pm after arriving in Siem Reap and we were the only visitors there. We successfully purchased our tickets in under 3 minutes, including having our photo taken, to be printed on the ticket. The ticketing office operates from 5.30am to 4.30pm daily.

OPTIONAL TIP: If you want to learn about the history of Angkor Wat and Khmer Empire, I suggest that you visit the Angkor National Museum. Please visit this museum BEFORE you begin visiting the ancient temples of Angkor, because the information that you will receive here will help you to understand some of the things that you will see on site at the temples. The admission fee is USD12 per person. I also recommend that you hire the audio guide for an additional USD6 per person, listening to the explanations is much easier than reading hundreds of thousands of printed words on the museum walls and panels.

If you are planning to visit the ancient temples of Angkor and you are considering hiring a local tour guide, I recommend Mr. Kim, who was my tour guide. His contact number is +855 9938 3855. He communicates using Whatsapp. Mr. Kim can also arrange for a private tuk-tuk or air-conditioned vehicle.

I wish everyone reading this ultra-long review, Good Health, Good Fortune & Safe Travels always!

I am posting some info about the “The Churning of the Sea of Milk" bas-relief in order to provide a link of the sign. It was amazing and we learned a great deal about Hindu mythology. Basically it's a giant tug-of-war between gods and demons, but instead of using a rope, they pull a snake. It has a tortoise that is the avatar of Vishnu, a mountain that shifts for 1,000 years, and a monkey god that makes all the difference.

This is a stunning piece of historical architecture. We happened to come on the day of the equinox, but unfortunately, due to cloud cover, we did not get to see the sun stay perfectly above the highest peak of the temple.

That didn't matter. The sunrise was gorgeous. And the history is impressive.
