We and our teenage sons enjoyed learning about butterflies, and chilled with a cold drink in the chairs as butterflies flew around us. We went at midday in the dry season, which meant the least chance to see a lot of butterflies, however it was...More

We visited here on our way to Banteay Srey Temple and the Cambodian Landmine Museum. It was an interesting local venture where butterflies are being encouraged to breed while protecting farmers from them. A great example of locals and conservationists working together!

This is a lovely place to visit after you have seen the tragedy of the mine museum. It is not very big, but for the $5 entry ($2 for kids) you get a guide who shows you the caterpillars and explains all the types they...More

We went during the dry season, so there were a lot less butterflies than there would be during the wet season. However we still had an amazing time, as our guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic (he wanted to study insects at university). We learnt so...More

On the road to Banteay Srei Temple, near the Landmine Museum (also worth a visit). We popped in here for a quick look and were amazed at what a beautiful place it is. A smallish (maybe 100m2) garden completely enclosed by a high netted "tent"...More

I don't believe there's a restaurant at the site. I don't know the specific answers to your other questions, but you can take very inexpensive 'cyclos' all around the city.
