Artisans Angkor is a Cambodian social business which was originally created to revive Khmer cultural heritage while helping young rural people finding work near their home village.Since its creation at the end of 1990s, Artisans Angkor has strived to provide professional skills to communities with limited educational opportunities and has offered good working conditions and social advantages to its employees. It has now opened 48 workshops in Siem Reap province and it provides employment to over 1100 people, including more than 800 artisans.Over the years, Artisans Angkor has become a real showcase of Khmer workmanship for its silk fabrics and garments, stone and wood carving, lacquer ware, polychrome products, silver plating and silk painting.

We purchased some locally made items, which were not your normal souvenir type. Well worth a visit, they also have Silk worm information to see, and items made from there worms

Worth a visit. It's great to see the local people working so hard and being so creative and innovative to help themselves make a living. I bought some great gifts and it's nice to know that you are supporting the community whilst doing so.

A wonderful shop where you can find one of the best handmade goods. The quality of the sold items is far away from elsewhere in Siem Reap. The patterns, the colours are a feast for the eyes. Sadly, most of the items are too expensive.

Avoid. You will find the same things back in Europe. They come from here and probably made in China. All ugly plastic type a total waste of time

Fantastic Artisan workshops and shop- the most pleasant shopping experience with beautiful silk, ceramics, jewelry, Wooden carvings, table linens of a bey high quality. And part of a great training initiative to train the next generation of artisans... loved it.
