Pre Rup is a wonderful finish on the long tour, by now like us you will be hot and tired. We decided not to climb the long staircase to the top and enjoyed its splendour from ground floor level. The towers are still in good condition considering its age and clearly the grounds have had a lot of restoration work.... More

This temple is located near to East Mebon. The stairs are really steep and it required a good amount of hard work to climb up the temple. The view from the top is beautiful and sunset views are awesome.

This is one of the smaller temples and is on the grand tour circuit, its a nice looking building and you can climb the steps to the top of the pyramid. It is also one of the most popular spots for watching the sunset, so be warned it gets very busy about an hour before that time.

This temple is on the roadside with highlighted 5 tower remains at the frontgate. Lintels on these 5 towers hads their stories so be prepared with guidebook or taking your local guide with you for best short comprehension. At the base of the pyramid like platform, there is square urn for , maybe, burning purpose. Be careful when climbing up... More

We timed our visit here to arrive before the sunset which made the stone temples and wall appear a beautiful yellow colour.

This was the first temple we visited mid afternoon on the grand tour circuit. It was meant to be the last for sunset but our tuc tuc driver drove to the ticket office first as he didn't realise we had a 3 day pass. It was just aswel cause there was no sunset that day. It was cloudy but muggy... More

Day 2 for us and first Temple of the day. Lots of people trying to sell stuff - even the policeman! We took one look at the stairs and were like not again so decided to walk round the bottom first. Thank goodness there were some much safer wooden stairs to the side. Nice view from the top.

This is the usual place that everyone goes to view the sunset. The normal course of action is for everyone to climb the steep steps and then view the sunset from the top. We did that, but it was way too crowded to get a decent view. We instead came down to shoot the temple against the golden glow of... More

After a long day of touring, our guide suggested that we go watch the sunset from the top of Pre Rup temple. We arrived about 90 minutes before the sun was scheduled to set and were able to walk the grounds to explore the lintel carvings on some of the buildings. The climb to the top can be challenging at... More

This temple is a fairly decent sunset option if you want to avoid the huge crowds. Don’t get me wrong it will still be busy, but you won’t have to queue to get in and if you arrive an hour or so before you are pretty much guaranteed a good seated spot.
