Pre Rup-is a Hindu temple, built as the state temple of Khmer king. Temple on a mountain of combined brick, laterite and sandstone construction. Pretty steep but still do-able with much caution. Popular place to watch the sunset. The most striking feature of the Pre...More

Pre Rup consists of a pyramid-shaped temple-mountain with the uppermost of the three tiers carrying five lotus towers. The steps going up the highest tier are pretty steep but still do-able with much caution. The most striking feature of the Pre Rup temple are the...More

There was a steep climb up the temples but lovely sunset at the top. Was quite crowded in the middle of April.

I didn't planed to stop at this temple but our Tuk tuk driver mentioned we should try. It was early in the morning and slightly rainy, and the temple was somehow fascinating, the huge stairs, the lion statues, the yellowish stones. Really worth a stop.
