Came here after a day walking around Angkor and we knew we were expecting to walk a lot, but with two parents in their late 50s and 60s, I think their should be a sign at the front of the trail to warn the elderly or the unfit of the trek. It takes about 45 minutes to get to the... More

Kbal Spean is quite a distance from Angkor but well worth the visit. It's quite a tricky walk with some steep rocks to clamber over and tree roots to watch out for, but once you reach the river carvings it's well worth the effort. Our visit to Kbal Spean made a very pleasant change from the temple visits in the... More

I was told this is an easy walk, not in the heat and maybe if you were fairly fit. There are a number of large rocks to navigate over, the walk is a fair distance, about 40 minutes, mainly at an incline, I wouldn't recommend for those less mobile. But we hoped it would be worth it! It wasn't, a... More

There is a 1.5 km hike up a very steep trek with a lot of large rocks to climb up and over. The "path" seemed more like a dry river bed and was treacherous at times.

We fancied a change from all the temples so arranged for a tuk tuk driver to bring us to Kbal Spean and we loved it. The start is at the bottom of a 1500 m hill and to get to the top you have to scramble over rocks tree trunks, roots and ravines, we are both over 60 and did... More

We came here on a tour after visiting Banteay Srey and before travelling to the fishing village of Kamphlong Phluck. It made for a nice and varied day out. The attraction of this place is 11th-13th century Hindu carvings found along the river banks and on the riverbed itself. It was about a 45-minute moderate hike uphill to the top... More

I was disappointed with this site. The effort to get to this site was not worth it in my opinion. If you are looking for a good hike away from the noise of the city then this is a good option. If you are expecting something cool and amazing, this isn't it. It is a moderately difficult hike. Not for... More

Our guide told us we'd be hiking. No problem. We're in good shape and after visiting temples around the area, we welcomed the idea of getting a little exercise. Hiking is good, but hiking in heat is a different thing entirely. Our guide gave us each a bottle of water at the start of the hike. We could have used... More
