Probably the best hiking I've done - and still relatively few tourists

We spent three days in Torotoro - first afternoon we did the 7 Vueltas hike, second the dinosaur footprints and caving, third the Ciudad de Itas. 7 vueltas was a good warm up (you'll feel the altitude), dinosaur footprints were fun for the kids (and probably the closest you'll get to any), caving was pretty full on (and not for... Getting here involved a bumpy 4hr ride in a minivan where I spent the whole time trying not to vomit but it was worth it. You have to wait for the colectivo to fill up so it might take a while (we waited almost 90min) but it only costs 35bs. We hadn't booked accommodation but managed to find somewhere to... More

We got a collectivo at 8am (35bs). Bumpy ride, but very pretty. Took the first hostel we saw, which happened to be Eden, which was pretty good (except for the breakfast and the small double bed). But it was cheap, 140bs for a double bed with private bathroom. Went to the guide office and made a group with a few... More

I stayed two days in Torotoro and did 2 halfday Tours (Canyon and Ciudad de Itas). Both Tours are really nice and the scenery is beautiful. The Guides were well knowledged about the places. However, it was really sad to see how less they care about the Park. Other tourist brought cans and bottles into the park and the Guide... More

Save yourself over $150 by diy and going here yourself. The packages we saw I'm sure are very convenient but it isn't difficult to do yourself. Either way, definitely make the time! Better and cheaper than Colca Canyon and just absolutely beautiful and unique. Although most guide books only have a small section on Torotoro, I bet there will be... More

You can get a bus 25BOB or a colectivo 35BOB. The colectivo will save you about 3-4 hours on the return trip. Meet in the main plaza at 7.30am to arrange a tour to see if you can join other people to reduce the price. This is especially important if you are traveling alone.

Torotoro is a National Park on Potosì but the access is from Cochabamba. The bus is 30 bs. from Cochabamba to Torotoro and 35 for coming back. There are no schedules. The National Park has canyons, caves and dinosaur footprints, is a great experience if you like trekking and rock climbing. You must contract a guide, ours was SEGUNDINO, is... More

This review is about the National Park in North Potosi. The access is from Cochabamba. I visited with my Bolivian brother in law in July 2016. This is a fantastic place to visit with stunning scenery and well organised guided tours. We were there for 3 days which was enough to visit the main attractions. The access is from Cochabamba... Torotoro National Parc is a beauty of nature and if Bolivia, you should definitely go there to check it by yourself. I stayed there for 4 days and I would have loved to spend more days there as it makes you feel great. I did rent a 4x4 with two other friends to travel from Cochabamba to the parc but... More
