Not allowed anywhere near the fort. Overzealous and uninformed security guards prevented us from even taking a photograph of the fort. One of the top sites to visit in Bahrain and public not allowed to visit during Eid Al Adha holidays. Wasted my time driving...More

It was closed to walking in but we enjoyed the outside quite a bit. Such history in the site and worth a stroll.

The fort was rather basic, but it offered great views of Manama and the harbor around sunset. A visit to the fort won't take much longer than 30-45 minutes.

This is a must-see in Bahrain. The old fort still stands with a backdrop to modern, downtown Bahrain.

Came here with my son. It’s free but basic with no information available. It’s reasonably well signposted. Don’t expect western levels of health and safety when you walk around the top!

Amazing place for morning walk, even it got shades to rest or relax, but when the water level is low then the place smells bit fishy, they do have an cold store and a ice cream stand for summer but it’s open all year

Arad Fort is one of the oldest; if not the oldest Fort in Bahrain. It was built by the Portuguese hundreds of years ago. It is a very nice tourist attraction and a MUST See.
