Going to the Austrian lake district is going to vast rolling green meadows surrounding clear clean lakes. It's like going back in time and just enjoying nature. Austrian lake district is so blessed with natural beauty and courteous people. Just the place to unwind and rejuvenate

We visited during December and enjoyed the Christmas market in Wolfgangsee very much. A beautiful, peaceful town. We hiked a path that showcased lovely views of the town, the lake, the mountains...stunning!

We took the ship from our starting point (St. Gilgan??) to St. Wolfgang, and it was so worth it. The lake is beautiful, and it was a memorable, great day.

Stop-over at the “Lake Wolfgang” or in the German language “Wolfgangsee, which is a lake in Austria, and who is located almost completely within the state of “Salzburg” and who is one of the best known lakes in the “Salzkammergut” resort region. The municipalities on its shore are “Strobl and St. Gilgen” together with the villages of the Abersee and Ried as well as the market town of St. Wolfgang located in the state of Upper Austria. The town and the lake are named after Saint Wolfgang of Regensburg, who, according to legend, built the first church here in the late 10th century. We had unfortunately a rainy moment when we had stopped there, but anyhow it seems to be a nice place when time is sunny.

The Wolfgangsee makes every trip worthwhile. This lake is beautiful to look at at any time of year and invigorates the senses. The view from the church arcades is particularly beautiful.

Hi,
I am planning to visit Salzburg in mid April 2025 . Does the ferry from St Gilgen to St Wolfgang and to strobl operate during this time.
I also would like to continue onwards from strobl to hallstatt and back to Salzburg the same day.
Is this disearable or should I opt for different day , kindly comment.
