Don't drive by this museum after grabbing your weekend adult beverages next door at the liquor store! Fantastic gardens out back and inside, what a treat for any boat lover or visitor that grew up on the lakes.

The display of specialized and older wood boats is breathtaking and brings you back to the early days of boating in America. This tour was captivating and one of a kind. The hand made wooden boats are amazing to see.

Stopped by after visiting the nearby Kensington Runestone museum. This museum has some great examples of the varies boats and motors from the past. Most of these boats have been fully restored and well maintained. The wood boats such as the Chris-Crafts were especially impressive.

This museum has numerous artifacts, boats and motors from the past. The building is very comfortable and the staff is exceptional. The Museum will give you a good feel of Alexandria lake days gone by.

Less than 10 years old a great addition to the lakes area tourist attraction list. If it is made for personnel watercraft use the chances are you will see it at the museum. Has a beautiful garden in back where they have free summer concerts.

Wonderful way to spend the morning, do not miss the gardens and the photo exhibit is only there until the end of the month, I think. Listen and watch all available videos.
