We went to visit my parents, who were camp hosts. The trails and campsites were very well maintained despite the lack of State funding.

It is quiet here. You will be nearly surrounded by water. There is an abundance of deer and small mammals. You have a pavilion in case you need to get out of the weather. Stay overnight or stay a week, you will enjoy it. I...More

Around this area there are only a couple start parks and this one is a very peaceful one to visit. There are no crowds here so you can be mostly by yourself on the average day visiting. Good place for someone visiting the area to...More

On a lazy mid October day I used TA and stumpbled on this scenic, fun park and scenic campground. Great hosts and full power for hookups.

I can't write the best review of the park due to the fact that I camped there right after all of the rain MN has gotten. As a result, their facilities (toilets and showers) were closed, the trails were boggy, there were some down trees,...More

Unlike many campgrounds, this one has a wonderful privacy way of keeping everyone feeling like they are the only ones there. There are large shrubs around each campsite isolating the campers. The host welcomes you to the site and spends time with you then leaves...More

You pay $5 at an unattended park, though cheap, with no idea what is actually there other than a map. It is rated as a good place for fishing, but it's a dying lake polluted by farm runoff and low oxygen level. Fishing was exceptionally...More

There's a small boat ramp on the little island, but I think this is mostly used for canoes. I haven't seen anybody fishing when we've been in the park. it's a pretty shallow lake.
