Bring the kids to view local wildlife up close. All animals here were injured and from rehab but are unable to sustain themselves in the wild, which is why they're used for learning. Accessible to all, good parking and close to town. Nice programs for kids parties and classroom learning experiences.

LSC does an impressive job of educating the public about raptors though their exhibits (open to the public for free) and has beautiful hiking trails in the surrounding area. Worth a visit!

The staff was knowledgable and made things fun for the kids. Proud of what this center stands for the rehab if animals that can't survive in the wild

We stumbled upon this wonderful sanctuary. We were pleasantly surprised about how many birds you could see. The whole family enjoyed it.

The grounds of Leslie Science Center are nice for a walk and while there take a look at the birds of prey in large cages. Each cage has an informational sign that educates you about the birds. Many can't be released back into the wild because of injuries, therefore they are kept in a protected environment. From Leslie Science Center... More

On top of the hill you of paths you will find an amazing array of birds of prey habitats. They are off a beaten path, but don't let that fool you, you will find yourself only a couple feet from Michigans most amazing birds of prey including an eagle! We went on a Sunday so the critter house was close,... More

This is a peaceful learning center of nature. Lovely trails to walk, animals to learn about. A few Birds are caged, including an eagle while they await to be released into the wild.

The LSC houses a number of raptors and birds of prey (a bald eagle, a peregrine falcon, a hawk, a couple turkey vultures, and several different kinds of owls), and the caretakers seem to do a good job there. The grounds were well-kept, and I guess it depends on the time of year you go as to what you'll see... More

My significant other and I went here on a Wednesday morning before heading home from Ann Arbor. This place reminds me a lot of a nature center I lived near and went to a couple of times for field trips in elementary school. Unfortunately, most of the buildings were locked so the only animals we could see were the raptors... More

My friend and I loved learning about all the beautiful birds as owls are my favorite but were a bit bummed that the buildings closed at two. Look forward to checking it out again at an earlier time of the day.
