Hugely impressive and stunning sight (which I saw as part of the 3-day Cordillera Traveller Tour), but be careful as the altitude here can really get you. It is also extremely windy and you need to be fully wrapped up.

On a trip with Intrepid Travel, this was definitely one of the highlights. We were able to get up close and personal with large flocks of Flamingos. Their squeaking squawking shrill calls, and slender bodies, varied shades of light to brilliant pink, all everything you...More

Laguna Colorada is one of half a dozen high altitude lagoons you will encounter on the San Pedro to Uyuni 3 day 2 night salt flat tour. What makes it memorable is its deep red colour, created by red sediments and the pigmentation of a...More

Fabulous. When we visited thete had been little rainfall. This meant that the lake levels were low so it was not as spectacular as it could have been. This should not put you off as it was still an incredible experience.

The lagoon was truly a deep red colour when we visited due to the algae that live there. Contrasted with the clear blue sky, and with the mountains behind and thousands of flamingoes reflected perfectly in the still water this is one of the most...More

absolutely not to be missed, the sort of place you see on wild life documentaries. But be careful of the season. We went in October and saw literally thousands of flamingoes. Truly amazing
