We loved our visit to Santa Teresa. It is a really beautiful Church with the most magnificent rooftop views of Potosi and Cerro Rico. It really is a breathtaking vista, we spent ages on that roof! Now that's not to say the interior is not worth your while too...because it truly is. Lovely artwork and iconography abound with beautiful arches,... More

As the other museums don't open or close very early on Sundays this was our only option. The tour was about 90 mins and only in Spanish, maybe I would have preferred it if it was in English but it still felt a bit boring. Pretty much all the rooms are the same. The chapel us impressive and learning a... More

My husband is Catholic, so I went along, but without much enthusiasm. We were told we had to go via a tour and if we wanted to take photos, there was an extra photo ticket. We both opted for them, not knowing what we may see. Our guide had already started a tour in French, but we were included, since... More

This is a great museum and the most extensive one I've been to in Bolivia - the guided tour lasting a bit over 2 hours. You really get a sense that you are seeing every room and almost every aspect of the convent. I recommend going to the tour well rested and alert. Make sure you have comfortable shoes and... More

We did this tour as part of a city tour and it wasn't great. I remember it being cheap but it was SO long. It was about 2 hours but really boring. I was FREEZING and they lock each door behind you as you go so you can't leave and you have to stay with the group.

I have rated this very good due to the buildings, history, restored art and enthusiasm of our lady guide. However if you go in every room and have an explanation in all of them, the tour lasts about 2 hours which by common agreement amongst our group was just a bit too long - and consequently some bits became a... Interesting tour, even though quite long (more than two hours) that brings you into the details of the monastic life. Rooms could be quite cold.. so bring your heavy coat!

Fantastic guided visit in English! What a treat to see such a well restored historical monument while learning about the fascinating and secret lives of nuns who, once in at the age of 15, would never to step outside again. Really worth the visit.
