Be careful and don't talk to gypsies, they will always try to get money from you. It's annoying, but try to ignore them and don't let them see your wallet. Don't let them read your future or talk to you for a long time, they always find a reason to put a spell on you and then take your money.

Coastal path. Connects to Vina's endless beaches. Right next to San Martin, which is filled with plenty of delicious restaurant choices. fun atmosphere along Av. Peru, hosting the Casino, a beautiful park, in addition to some fun little "cart bikes" that you can rent out.

As always, be careful here at night, simply because if you look foreign anywhere in Chile at night in a tourist location, people will be looking who they can pick pocket. But this applies to all of Chile, not just this location.

oh, and PLEASE, DISCLAIMER: DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT RIDE ANY OF THE HORSE DRAWN CARTS HERE. Horse drawn carts are amazing in any city, and allow you to see the city in a slow way, but PLEASE do not do this in Vina, or any other Chilean city. Why? NONE of these people take care of their horses - they do not clean them on a regular basis, which you can tell by their constant sweat covered and matted fur, in addition to (upon closer inspection) constant bug infections (fleas, horse fleas, etc). I have noted many a time I walked down Av. Peru that in addition to them never being cleaned, never having their equipment taken over the ENTIRE day (TERRIBLE TREATMENT!) some also appeared to have foot injuries.

- sincerely, someone who knows about horses and really cares about animal treatment.

The coastline was interesting and changed as you went down Avenida Peru. The rocky shores and sea were a pleasant backdrop to the varied buildings over the road.

It is a walk on the bayside on your left is the sea and the sunset, on your right all the viña parks, restaurants, apartments, buildings, but actually you can just take a sit next to the big rocks that breaks the waves in this big water explosion. Take a safe walk and breath is a great walk. Bring your camera , will get great pictures

We went for a romantic walk along this stunning coastline with huge rocks separating us from the huge waves which regularly broke on the rocks sending some spray towards us. Even in summer time it was quite cool so dress accordingly. Having said that the Argentinians were sun bathing on the beach while we were happy with jackets on!! Each to their own!

Enjoy the views from the Pacific ocean by sunset, when the avenue is full of locals an tourists. You'll find some nice shops and food stands. You can't access the water from all points. Walk towards the pier to have a nice view from Viña and Valparaíso.

Lovely place to walk around and enjoy the sea and also this lovely city. I recommend going in summer though in Winter -it will be cold- you will see another part of the city that you won't discover in summer. Lovely lovely place.
