My husband booked this hotel as a birthday gift. It was an amazing experience from start to finish. The terrace with the infinity pool is very special, and the staff is very friendly. We had a small welcome surprise waiting in the suite. All suites have two levels, the bathroom includes a bathtub with whirlpool function and spacious shower, all rooms in the suite have most comfortable chairs and sofas. Breakfast is an experience on its own, lovely live music played on a harp by a very talented lady. I can recommend wholeheartedly.

We didn't stay there but I do believe it is likely the most luxurious property in Dubai? But we went for an afternoon tea and it did not disappoint. The architecture of the hotel is just stunning. The politeness of the service is on whole other level. We walked the property and the inifiniti pool overlooking the gulf is just something else. The indoor shooting fountain, the chic surrounding, the calmness - all just leave one in awe.
Now, we had an afternoon tea booked in the lobby. That was one of the best experiences ever. It was a 5 course meal with the most delicious food and tea ever! Sandwiches, salmon tartare, scones, pastries...on and on an on...I think we were so full by the end that we literally didn't look in the direction of food for about 24 hrs. Highly recommend the experience!

I booked the tour of the Burj Al Arab, where you have to go to the Jumeriah Beach Hotel to register.

The groups are small and enter via the main reception then to the first floor and then to the 25th floor to the Royal Suite which is now a museum.

There are other exhibits to see on the 90 minute tour, and is a great way to access the hotel.

I also booked afternoon tea after the tour in the foyer, and was allowed extra time to take pictures of that area.

The chef prepared dishes to my recommendations so the service was excellent.

The sandwiches, pastries and scones were of the highest quality, but the view out of the window is not very good as there are bulldozers on the beach, so it's best to face the lobby.

Priced at £140 this the most expensive afternoon tea I have encountered, and believe me there are better in London and at half there price. The cost of Champagne is used as an excuse for the high price.

It's an awesome building and probably worth seeing, but to us, it was just kind of ho hum. It's cool and fits in well, but just not my favorite place in Dubai.

Went once for dinner, never to return!
Poor service, over priced and food poorly cooked.
The cocktain lounge however is good and great views. Just don't waste your money on the restaraunt. There are much better places to choose from.
