Like all beaches, people are free to do whatever they want, liberal atmosphere with a few abayas too..I was so busy in enjoying the calm exterior of the sea that I was least bothered about the hot Dubai weather, music in the background with people enjoying..on a walking distance is a mosque ,if u walk further there s that water park in close... This was my first trip to Dubai and so far I'd had an amazing trip so had high expectations of going to the beach. As soon as we arrived we noticed red flags up everywhere and restricted swimming bays due to the rough tides. I then noticed how dirty the beach was, there was cigarette butts and rubbish everywhere so... More

The beach is very quiet but seems isolated. I suggest that you go there in a group. Nice white sand but you will need umbrellas and lots of water to stay hydrated.

Jumeirah Beach is a must see stop in Dubai. It is flanked by high-rise buildings all around but still breathtaking. The color of the water is just beautiful. The beach is free and if you go in the warmer months it would be worthwhile to rent a cabana or beach chairs. The bathrooms on the beach offer showers and are... More

Lovely waves, convenient for restaurants and hotels - great shame about the almost continuous incessant club music. Why!!

There is a restaurant/cafe for ice creams and snacks - can get very busy. Good walk in soft sand, which can be hot!

This is a small, but nice a clean beach. A good way to spend in the evening. Water is shallow hence good for a nice swim.

Staying in Jumeirah

Neighbourhood Profile
Jumeirah
Years ago, before the skyscrapers, before the 12-lane highway, there was only Jumeirah. In fact, when the UAE was formed, its rulers signed the agreement in Union House, at the very start of Jumeirah Beach Road. Often called “The Beverly Hills” of Dubai, a drive down Beach Road reveals one enormous, lavish villa after another. Originally residential-only neighbourhoods, they are now also home to an array of cafes, smart boutiques, and art galleries. Home to one of Dubai’s few public beaches, this recently renovated area includes a new boardwalk, running and walking track, with changing facilities and cafes along the way. Another landmark, Jumeirah Mosque, is the only mosque in Dubai that can be entered by non-Muslims. As part of the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding, the mosque hosts regular tours and talks about Islam, as part of an “Open Doors, Open Minds” program. A wonderful way to understand more about the UAE and Islam.
