- Caroline T1 contributionVisit one of Dubai’s gems in the basement souk of WafiWith in Wafi Mall, in the underground Khan Murghan souk is one of Dubai’s gems. It is the studio of Amir Hossein Golshani, the most incredibly talented artist and calligrapher. I gave him an ordinary black pen and he returned it to me within two days, with not only the name in English but a beautiful Arabic saying engraved in Arabic in a spiral around the barrel of the pen. With the underlying colour of the metal coming through the black it is simply stunning and a long term keepsake. The word ‘ No’ does not seem to exist for Amir, he can work on metals, leather, shell etc and his small studio is an oasis of beauty, peace and amazing skill in a busy city.Visited November 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 19 November 2023

It is a pity that staff should pay more attention on people waiting to order or to pay and go, not good the staff to feel that customers are many anyway once dubai mall is of max attraction. It is important to maintain standard of quality as wafi is a really high quality name of itselfVisited January 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 23 January 2024

The food court was deserted and that was puzzling and we also went to a few restaurants on site which were completely empty. Not sure why this was as it was a Thursday at 1pm. The mall itself is a good size with some good stores but hardly anyone around. Again not sure why but it made it easier to navigate our way around and get something to eat easily.Visited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 5 May 2024

This a a great mall very accessible on lots of different levels. It was not busy when we visited early on a Friday morning but I understand it is open really late on an evening. The stores were not all high end although there were some to visit. We only used the shopping area but there seemed to be so much more to do there. It was a good walking distance from our hotel so very useful.

Located in Oudh Metha-Healthcare City, this mall will definitely transport you to Egypt with its unique Architecture and decor. I love how everything has been done with such great elegance, be it the interior decor or the subtle tones.
The place has a number of restaurants, lounges, salons, shops and even Carrefour in the mall.
Worth a visit, take lots of pics!

This review is about WAFI Mall located at Oud Maitha, it’s a Them mall, very fancy and luxury. Egyptian-style mall with fashion and department stores, plus replica ancient Arabian market. They do a lot of activities throughout the year worth seeing them all. All major and rare brands at this high end mall. Make sure you dress up well to blend, fancy and expensive restaurants to choose from, Expensive ornaments store and amazing Khan Zaman stores at the lower basement. Good place to hand with friends, family. The place is with Carrefour, pharmacies, and famous Visa application centers for UK and USA. Plenty of parking areas some are restricted to 2 hours only others can be extended for more hours against a fee. The bad part is the food court with only 3 to 4 fast food to select if you are on the go and not for fine dining.

Get transported to Egypt when you enter WAFI. The architecture of the entire place reflects Pyramids and Egyptian references including statues and symbols.
There are open spaces, pyramids, underground Khan Murjan market, carrefour, movie theatre, the mall's own light projection show and everything.

Pathetic effort on the Santa's Grotto. Its a charged visit that cost's 70dhs. For which you need to preregister in order to meet Santa. There are silly activities like taking a photo on a chair, a gift wrap done by an attendant, letter to Santa and arts and craft; that are offered and at most can occupy a child for about 40min. After which you start looking for things to do while waiting to see Santa. That wait so far has taken about 2 hours and still have 10 people to go before my kids get there turn...This is truly dissapointing and should be avoided.
Just found out after a 2 hour wait. The token system was not working and had been reset and now probably will end up waiting another 2 hours. This reminds me of US Arrivals immigration. Cramped spaces, can't sit and wait for hours to get your turn....
RUN AWAY!!!

Visited this mall while staying at raffles . It’s awful . Very quiet . No atmosphere , mostly high end shops all empty of customers . Passed by a toy shop everyday for 4 days in there and all I saw was staff standing by the door playing with toys . No customers . The souk downstairs has traders pouncing on tourists and ripping them off . Be prepared to say no ..firmly . Especially the perfume trader . Will never visit again .

We stayed at the Grand Hyatt for 10 nights Oct/ Nov time. 10 min walk to the amazing Egyptian themed Wafi Mall. The mall is enormous and even has it’s own souk which we only discovered on our last visit there. The mall is attached to the Raffles Hotel and adjacent to the Obilisk building. There is an entrance to the mall from the hotel.
We visited the mall several times during our stay as it has a great food court, fantastic exchange rates in the bureau de change, fun things to look at, great shops including many UK names (M&S) and a Carrefour supermarket where we purchased our lunch for a couple of days.
Also home to the Wafi Gourmet shop which is a tremendous delicatessen with a restaurant which is well worth a look.
Very close to Healthcare City metro stop.
Highly recommended for shopping, lunch out and the supermarket.

It locates next to Obilisk Residences tower in Bur Dubai. The building is outstanding. The mall has a nice gourmet with local sweets. There are a few food outlets in Food&Game court (Marrybrown fried chicken is good), Indonesian and Indian food...You can do grocery at Carrefour. There is an currency exchange.
The place is beautifully interior, but quiet and not many people.

Does this place offer souvenir shops?
Written 2 April 2017

4x4 Dune Bashing is definitely a must, depending on which one you do can be an afternoon evening excursion. Dubai Mall for the shops, Aquarium, Ice Skating, Burj Kalifa and fountains in the evening, plus lots of nice place for dinner. Mall of the Emirates is another for the Ski Dubai and more shops. If you check out viator website it has ideas of different excursions that are available. There are also a lot of different places if you google Dubai day excursions. The beach is also lovely, and a Dhouw cruise down the Dubai creek. You may also be interested in the Dolphin show, where you can swim with the Dolphins..
