About
Soak in the local culture and atmosphere at Naif Souk, one of the oldest souks in Dubai. Known primarily for abayas, conservative garments with religious and cultural significance, you will also find shops selling scarves, jewelry, and textiles. Don’t hesitate to negotiate prices and shop around for a better deal. The area gets increasingly busy as the day progresses, and stores stay open till late. Stay for dinner, as there are many humble eateries serving delicious food. To get to Naif Souk, take the metro and walk 15 minutes from Baniyas Square—parking is next to impossible, as is hailing a cab. – Tripadvisor

The costume jewelleries are attractive and i had bought quite a few that are beautifully designed. The price can be bargained. I just love the place. When i visit Dubai again this will be the favourite place to go to and get souvenirs for my friends and family.Visited December 2023Travelled with familyWritten 21 December 2023
- Hannah R23 contributionsNaif souk (Beware of scam, unrelated to abaya shopping)This place is a must to those looking for abayas or thawb. Love the variety and the fact that every shop has styles/designs that differ from others. To those planning to shop till you drop, you can rent a porter for your bags or just bring a small wheeled bag to store everything and make commuting easy. An unrelated sidenote, my husband got scammed at this area for a facial product to remove dark circles/large pores. These guys are everywhere; same dialogues but different shops they will bring into. So please be aware and reject these guys when they say they have good intentions to help, not expecting any payment and to follow them to a shop that sells the productVisited November 2023Travelled with familyWritten 7 January 2024

I visit every time I go to Dubai and leave with bags aga bags full. Just negotiate nicely with the shop owners - you are there to get a bargain, but they are also there to earn a living and provide food for their families. The atmosphere is lovely and bustling, with friendly vendors ready to showcase their products. Bargaining is expected, so don’t shy away from negotiating for the best deals. Naif souk is perfect for those who enjoy a traditional shopping experience and are looking for value for money. Highly recommend for tourists.

We went on a Friday since we didn't have time to go on an other day, experience is very authentic and you find a lot of nice souvenirs. Highly recommend. Kindly note, even if Friday in a Muslim country it is rest day most shops were open early.

Got off at the tour bus and walked behind the gold and spice souks. Didn't find the mall but the souk was great for traditional clothes and cheap everyday items as it mainly caters for the migrant community . People are friendly and if you ask you can get all your designer items such as sunglasses, watches, perfumes and bags but like Karma they are kept in apartments. I saw hair extension posters in the apartments so I was taken to two places and they were amazing, so much variety and very cheap virgin remi hair. Don't forget to haggle. Wish I had more time to spend here as the last tour bus left at 540 .

A lot of cheap clothes ( especially Abaya) there, prices as cheap as 40 Dirhams, but this is not the
quality you expect from Dubai.
Naif area is crowded, a lot of walking, shops full of the same cheap things , you have to bargain, and don't expect finding a taxi easily ( we walked to the metro station).
There is a lot of walking in Naif area before you reach Naif Market ( located far from the main street), we had to ask many people until we reached, and after all did not buy anything worthy.
We will not go back again.
We found that Abu Hail center is far more better in quality and new designs of Abaya.

We were specifically looking for abayas and local perfumes for our families. We were very pleased to find good quality ones at such a bargain! Please do not be shy to negotiate respectfully. Good value for money purchases, hidden shops with many good buys! Ladies who wish to purchase Abayas for the first time visiting Naif Souk, they are going as cheap as 40AED to 300+ AED...the difference is not just in the design and precious stones but the black cloth itself. Those cheaper ones are lyrca types that stick to the body and will just disintegrate after 2/3 washes as shared by the more upfront shopkeepers..go for the slightly expensive but good quality cloth, preferably with a size-tag saying "made in UAE", they may quote you 130-150AED, go ahead and bargain for 70-90AED if you are buying more pieces. I did and got a steal of 5Abayas all for less than 350AED, and these are with modern A-line gowns style/fully-accessorised top and sleeves that they felt more Princess-y and dinner gowns than the traditional Abayas. Don't discount that shop at the basement near the stairs *hint*hint* Enjoy Naif Souk for I did! ps. if the stomach rumbles, do drop by a quaint eatery facing the mosque called "Anas" awesome food at a steal!!! Yummy and humbly-priced! Loved it!

This souk offers a wide variety of abaayas for moslim women. My wife was really delighted, and the key is to know how to bargain. We made very Good deals and i even found a shop where i could buy traditional abaayas for men, from Dubai and the Khaleej in general. Do not buy from the shopping malls as they are very expensive there, and another advice, learn how to negotiate.
