Cheaper to get around via metro. Taxi/cabs add up especially when stuck in traffic. Big Bus was excellent on our 2 day pass to cover a lot of the city.

Love the metro! So easy quick. Buy a day ticket and travel around all day cheaply and easily. Just wish UK had such a good transport system!

We used the metro to return from Jumeira Palm Atlantis water park. The cost is very reasonable, but be warned if travelling at peak times it is incredibly busy.

We got an all day ticket for AED22 each. The metro is so easy to navigate and is a pleasure to ride. It's beautiful and clean...but then it's also not very old. But it sparkles, just like everything in Dubai.

Hi, Abu Dhabi is about an hour and a half away, so no the Metro is not an option, as that is only in Dubai There are buses you can take or taxi.
