We used the metro to get from the airport to the Dubai Mall during a recent layover in Dubai. The staff are helpful, the service is efficient and very reasonably priced.

I took a metro ride in gold class from Bur Juman to Airport T3. It was a very pleasant experience costing 10 AED / 3.2 USD and definitely beat the taxis, taking approx 15mins door to door.

Been on many subways all around, This system was clean and reasonably priced. Was overcrowded at times like any subway system. Of note is that the trains are more narrow then other subways.

Very clean and pleasant trains which run every few minutes. The carriages are air conditioned and they have separate ones for women & children only if you prefer this. The stations are spotlessly clean and run very efficiently. Couldn't fault them.

There are only 2 main metro lines. The staff at the counter usually speak good English, so you should have no problem to buy your tickets. The trains and stations are very clean. Try to avoid the afternoon rush hour though. It can get quite...More
