Relax solo or chill with friends, Calabar is the best after work spot to unwind. Looking forward to the re-opening of this lounge.

Visited here for drinks on Xmas day evening. Nice bar and great atmosphere. Partial views of the fountains, and great views of the Burj Khalifa all lit up at night. Really nice. No beers on draught, which was a shame. Drinks quite pricey, but we did visit during Happy Hour so we didnt pay full price anyway. Would definitely recommend.

Calabar at the Address Downtown is a great spot to relax and have an evening drink and chat with friends with the Burj Kalifa towering over you. The atmosphere is really good although the variety of drinks (beers and ciders) is limited. Good place to unwind and relax though

Nice location, with the view of the Burj Khalifa and the famous musical fountain. Provide free wifi for non hotel guest as well. Attentive staffs. The best thing is half price discount for selected alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks from 6pm to 8pm.

I stopped here on a Saturday night after a long night of sight seeing. Me and a friend decided to have a drink and call it a night. We were at the var and the bill came up to 90, so i dropped 100 and handed over the bill. The bartender came back with a 10 and told me that... More

The outdoor part of the lounge is amazing, the seating and music are perfect for friend's outing. Food is also good. The place has "happy hour" daily and is a good choice after work. However the indoor side is not nice, has different style (formal) with loud music. Recommended if the weather is nice at sunset time till the evening.

Prior seating outside reservations are a must but their booking system whether done online or by phone is excellent. Lovely location outside overlooking Burj Khalifa with nice views of the fountains. Inside brings a cosy atmosphere. Large drinks selection albeit a tad on the pricey side unless its Happy Hour! Nice bar food nibbles.

Staying in Downtown Dubai

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown Dubai
You can’t fail to miss Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. It towers over the city and resides in the prestigious Downtown development. Once an old army base, Downtown is now the jewel in Dubai’s crown, a beautiful residential and leisure area housing not only the world’s tallest building, but the world’s largest fountains and mall. Wide marble sidewalks are perfect for strolling, with restaurants, art galleries and children’s play areas. Specially commissioned sculptures line the roads and Downtown is often used as a canvas for modern art displays and community events such as Classic Car Shows and National Day parades. In the cooler months, cross one of the many bridges to the Burj Khalifa park and enjoy a picnic alongside residents and visitors, or enjoy a lunch or dinner watch the dancing fountains. Because of its mixed use, Downtown is a fantastic place to mix with Dubai residents and locals and watch real life unfold in a cosmopolitan environment.
