This is basically viewing the birds from a large hide. A large telescope can be used to see the flamingoes close up. The feeding time is 4pm daily, so it's a good idea to be there at that time. There is information on the walls about the different birds in this sanctuary.

I had heard about the Wildlife Sanctuary and was not disappointed. Wish I'd taken binoculars, but not essential. A good camera is an asset. There were a lot more birds than just the flamingos. I saw Curlew, Black-winged Stilts, Grey Plover & Spotted Eagles to name a few.

The Flamingos are crazy cool even from a distance. Look out for spoonbill doodles too. Also, don't go on Friday. It's not open on Fridays. For whatever reason the Flamingos don't allow visitors on Fridays, when like, everybody in Dubai ISN'T working and actually has the time to visit them.

I stopped by the two observation decks of wildlife sanctuary. I had in mind that i would have to pay and queue to get in. Instead, it was as simple as a signature on a book. The parking is right beside the main highway, dont miss the entrance! Free parking, hop off, walk 200 m and sit inside the deck,... More

Relaxed getaway from the hassle and commerce of the city. Nicely maintained wildlife reservoir for flamingos, visitors are kept in check not to disturb the birds. Very easy to reach, free entry.

There are two hides/viewing cabins overlooking the water, both are good. Some parking is available. Busy with tourist groups on quick visits so patience is recommended. Feeding times 9.30am and 3.30pm promise even better viewing.

Amazing place in the heart of Dubai City. Few steps away from a very busy dual carriageway. Lots of beautiful birds to see. There are two small hides to watch from. Both on the same road. Very peaceful and tranquil. Groups of tourists do come and go. If you want time out come here. Only drawback opens too late so... More

Nice wildlife in the middle of all the hustle of Dubai. Saw lots of birds while we were there...including some pink flamingos.

Great place to visit and see a bunch of flamingos. This place has 2 gates. Google map navigates to gate 1 where you can see few birds. The second gate is located ahead by the same road but doesn't have an appropriate sign and not easy to be found. But all flamingos gather near the gate2. There is small a... More
