About
Situated in the historical district of Al Fahidi, Meena Bazaar is a cluster of shops spread across several streets. You’ll find great food here in the Little India of Dubai, as well as textiles, hand-embroidered apparel, unique antiques, spices, and jewelry. The bazaar is busy day and night—you can try visiting in the afternoon when it’s relatively quieter. Get here by metro or bus, and have cash ready, as smaller merchants may not accept credit cards. When you’re done taking it all in, the Dubai Museum and Dubai Creek are a short distance away. – Tripadvisor

    Best chocolats in the world.
I visited meena bazar to buy chocolates. Actually I was about to buy them from the stores in the street but one guy showed me the chocolate store inside of one of buildings. I found genuin seller and his cholate price was reasonable. Some chocolates were made of stevia so diabeties patients can have some safely and also who are worried about being fat. I will give 10 put of 10. I went to Bellgium and I thought Bellgium chocolate was the best. Now my mind is chanhed. Dubai chocolate is the best!!! Thank u!

    Service to humanity
My wife was looking for a wedding dress for next week's wedding party. we went to Meena Bazar and visited a mix of Indian and Pakistani  fashion, and stepped into Bareeze, although my wife did not do any purchase there, what made it memorable was their courtesy, respect for elders, and most of all, their present of a courtesy water bottle! Thank you Bareeze, next time my wife will certainly shop at your place.

Tourists are hassled on the street!
This is a market where you have a mixture of decent stores and junky stores right next to each other. We went there with high expectations as my wife wanted some readymade, high end Indian tops. No such luck! If you want fancy materials and saris, this is a decent place to visit. Some good gold stores here with nice designs. We got approached at least 8 times for fake handbags and other items as we were walking around. Been there, done that - never again. Many other cities in the west have better stores and you don't get hassled on the street. The street paupers watch as you get off from your car and start hassling you within 30 seconds.

Meena bazar in Al Fahidi feels a bit like India or Pakistan. It is not a bazar in the classical sense of the word, but rather a cluster of small shops and restaurants in a labyrint of alleys and streets. Butchers, tailors, 5 dirham hairdressers, laundry places and groceries, very many small low-budget restaurants mostly offering Indian and Paistani food.

Beware of shopkeepers selling jewelry, traditional clothes, perfumes and spices who are experienced in dealing with ignorant tourists. Of course there are honest men among them, but bargaining without knowing real Dubai prices always ends in being overcharged or ripped of.

Meena bazaar is known for asian clothes heavy r simple suits. I did buy 4 outfits and within 24 hours my clothes for ready and perfect.
However certain things in that area you need to be careful and alert.
As soon our taxi stopped group of guys approached us telling us to have a look at this place we kept on telling we wasnt interested when we got the to shop the shop keeper started showing us suits, because i wasnt interested i walked out.
They try to trick you buying herbs for hair loss and start showing pictures and asking to pray for them. We again got stopped this guy started talking to husband about hairloss and what herbs to use and dragged to a shop next thing you know hes putting oils in a bag and charging us 30 diarams. Thats when i shouted and said no we don't want it your wasting my time you was suppose show the herbs not sell them. The guy wasnt happy by then im dragging my husband out if the shop and ingoring him. When we went yesterday back to shop to pick up my clothes the shopkeeper asked did we buy any herbs, i told him what happened and he explained its a joke around here and not to buy anything from them.
You just need to be careful ingore the group of
Guys dont look at them and carrying on walking. Its actually not a bad bazaar you can get clothes cheaper from here compared to the uk.

Meena Bazaar is little India. Great for shopping Indian clothing and the street food is amazing and cheap. However, the numerous street vendours can drive you crazy. Every 2 meters you walk, another one turns up in your face, sometimes literally begging you to buy some fake bag or shoe.

Also know where to shop your Indian clothing. Do not get tempted with (very)low prices, because in the end you will end up with poor quality fabric and on top of that very bad tailoring work.

An extremely scary incident took place with us at Meena Bazaar. We were females including my 2 daughters aged 13 and 5. My mom on the wheelchair and my 2 sisters. One guy was continously staring at my daughter and started following us. If we crossed the road he would also cross the road. We noticed this for 10- 15 mins and later we entered a shop..within 2 mins he also entered the shop along with 2 more men. They kept on staring at my daughter. They left the shop and came back 10 mins later again staring at her. I was busy shopping and observed my daughter in tears when i asked her she told me the whole incident. Me along with my sisters confronted them and threatened if we should call the cops. They immediately ran from that place. God knows what intentions they had.

I purchased tailored suits, jackets, and shirts from Santoba, and the service is always great. Mr Ali IS my knowledgeable on fabrics and design. In addition, the actual tailors were precise on measurements and fit.
Guys, if you are visiting Dubai or a resident, and you enjoy high level fashion that is fit to your body, Santoba is a must stop.
I give a consistent ***** 5 STARS*****

Rating this 2/3 as it was not as we expected the bazaar to be.
This bazaar is made up of individual shops in an area, spread out on a number of streets.
However we enjoyed the route from the spice & gold souks on a water taxi at a very low rate of one Dirham.

While the street hawkers in meena bazar Dubai are friendly and helpful, if you are looking to buy Indian gold jewellery avoid Kalyan’s jewellers. Malabar is much better. You can tell by how many customers you see in the store. Kalyan salesman was dishonest and gave me gold worth half the value. I trusted him and he took advantage of my trust. I knew right after I made the deal that he tricked me. I will not go there again ever. Hope this helps a few people.

As soon as we put our first step in meena bazar, we knew its similar to india !!!! Well if you are in dubai and totally dont want to recall any indian memories then you can avoid it but i liked the place as i like bargaining for the goods i buy.

If you have ever done shopping in New Delhi @ SN, Janpath & Lajpat nagar, you'll get the same experience here also.

You can bargain for half of the price infact !!!. You can get watches, perfumes, dry fruits, chocolates here.

If you wana try food then ask someone for Nihal Restaurant. We tried parantha there and it was worth trying. Another place for foodies is Kailash Parvat.

Overall its a nice place for those who wanna have some indian experience in Dubai.
