The area
Neighbourhood: Jumeirah
Years ago, before the skyscrapers, before the 12-lane highway, there was only Jumeirah. In fact, when the UAE was formed, its rulers signed the agreement in Union House, at the very start of Jumeirah Beach Road. Often called “The Beverly Hills” of Dubai, a drive down Beach Road reveals one enormous, lavish villa after another. Originally residential-only neighbourhoods, they are now also home to an array of cafes, smart boutiques, and art galleries. Home to one of Dubai’s few public beaches, this recently renovated area includes a new boardwalk, running and walking track, with changing facilities and cafes along the way. Another landmark, Jumeirah Mosque, is the only mosque in Dubai that can be entered by non-Muslims. As part of the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding, the mosque hosts regular tours and talks about Islam, as part of an “Open Doors, Open Minds” program. A wonderful way to understand more about the UAE and Islam.

This was a most disappointing visit . From our arrival at a chaotic underground parking facility to leaving four hours later the experience was dismal. Overcrowded beach with completely inadequate changing/toilet/ shower facilities. Tacky food and retail outlets and a view of cranes and building sites didn’t enhance the experience.
There are much nicer beaches in the area- Kite Beach if you like restaurants etc, likewise JBR or Al Mamzar for an unspoilt beach and adjacent park.
Despite being a public beach, La Mer is all about relieving you of your money. If you do go don’t forget to validate your car park ticket in any retail outlet or parking will cost you a fortune.

La Mer, is a must must visit Destination if you go to Dubai. It has a beautiful shoreline and a great water park as well. The place is LIT.
It just gets better when the sun sets and the La Mer just lightens up. There are some wonderful restaurants here as well.

I’ve eaten at Salt when they had a mobile unit downtown Dubai near the fountains. Now they have an established unit at La Mer, Dubai.
The premises are so clean and spacious with seating indoors and outdoors with social distancing in place and hand sanitizer available.
The menu is visible via a QR code so you browse very easily.
I opted for the ‘hook’ slider with hook sauce, wagu beef patties. The food is always made fresh and is always hot on delivery.
The fire fries were ok, I personally think I prefer the standard fries as the sauces are an over kill. However, the black lemonade is always so refreshing and the black appearance is only activated charcoal giving the colour.
Price point, more than your average burger or slider, but Salt is different and they achieve this so it’s worth paying slightly more for the quality.
Customer service is always fantastic although I wish they wouldn’t suggest add on’s like ice creams etc when I have the menu to view myself, but I think that’s the mindset of the servers. That’s my only negative aspect of Salt. I would say let the customers choose from the menu.

La Mer has so much to offer - lovely beach areas, lots of food and beverage options, entertainment for kids, a water park, cinema, shopping and stunning city views.
The beach is free to access, with charges applying for the use of sunbeds, and there is F&B to suit all tastes, including a number of licensed establishments.
A great place to spend a day/ evening in Dubai.

It’s simply a great place to be in Dubai, a very different ambience feel beach area with lots of eateries, lagoona water park some shops as well, water sports etc etc simply very nice place well organized, well maintained, clean area. Beach access is free with some restriction like you can’t take your own umbrella only at designated places etc. Sun beds, umbrellas available on rent approx 180 aed for two beds and umbrella what I was informed by one of attendants.
Good choices of eating places a little pricy but very good place available with mouthwatering food.
Nevertheless a must visit very good nice place for a family day out with clean beach.

Stylish, modern and relaxed shopping area and huge beach.
The beach is free but if you want a sun lounger you pay a rental fee, there also some water sports you can do on the beach.
There a variety of cafes/restaurants and loads of instagramable artwork which look great for hotel pics.
It’s alot less crowded then JBR

Yet another of Dubai's hidden gems. La Mer beach is simply a marvel for the ingenuity in the crafting of various restaurants, shops and cinema's complete with outdoor "bose speakers" that provide soothing music all through the beach walk experience, it's a true travellers wonder. The soft lighting is especially heightened in the evening hours complete with Dubai's skyline silhoutte. It's simply beautiful and fun to hang around. I spent an afternoon here and loved the whole experience. Can't wait for pandemic to ease travel restrictions so I can head back.

I was so excited to visit La mer coming from the uk and had a terrible experience with the parking people and security there, Meras. My sister lost her parking token in the first half hour and they just said we had to pay 250’dirhams fine I explained it was a genuine mistake and it was within the first half hour of it being free. We spoke to 10 different people to help us in this matter to help find the token and no one was helpful. They wouldn’t let us out of the parking area I am heart patient I was with an elderly and my toddler but all they want was to take the money. I am appalled we waited around for 2 hours and I am still distressed for extortion rates and ignoring us.

It was both our rest day with my husband after a month so we decided to go to this place as our second time, we enjoyed the place as before and taking pictures as usual and when my husband posed from the jetski from Water Sports near to us there is a dark guy, long hair with color wearing water sports uniform who came to us and told us “you are not allowed to take pictures to that, you have to ask permission to me first!”(poking his self) and keep telling to us even we are leaving with the hand gesture of “you both go away!) twice. I feel so bad,but my husband just told me come lets go,i just keep my self to relax and hold my self not to respond even i feel so humiliated as i don’t want to spoil our moment with my husband. To that guy please gain some good manners.!

I love going to leMer beach however today will be my last visit
The overpriced sun loungers @ aed 180 for 2 have now been increased 25% to aed 240 with no justification at all, The forever empty cabins have gone from aed 600 to aed 800 once again with no justification. It’s the same beach with the same sun loungers. Unfortunately the poor staff who haven’t had a salary increase are taking the brunt of the complaints. If this is how loyal customers get repaid then in the future we will bring our own equipment and enjoy the beach free.
You people need to have a serious word with yourselves

Filli is a good option in the area if you're vegetarian, otherwise if you want a quick bite I went a few times to Kevanter's. Have fun =)

There are two options:
1. Direct way: Get a taxi and go to the La Mer directly
2. Get a taxi to the nearest subway station, then get off the subway at ADCB subway station, and finally get another taxi to La Mer.
