I have been to multiple aquariums in my time and scuba dive a lot. The quality of the fish in the Dubai mall aquarium were spectacular. I would highly recommend paying to go in and see inside including the behind the scenes tour. What you can see from the mall is a nothing compared to what you can see inside.... More

It's insanely big and has just about every brand on the planet under one roof. Definitely worth a visit even if you just want a wander around. Food is also great with so much choice.

We spent the day here recently, this place is amazing with every shop you could wish for - if only we had won the lottery! Upon leaving we were directed to the official taxi rank where we queued, once we were at the front of the queue we were directed by a Mall employee to a vehicle. We were only... More

Been here couple of times before. Spent here days shopping and bought a lot in the past. but this time? Spent two hours here and left. Every single shop so overpriced!!! Compare to EU boutique prices which are high anyway. Watches, clothes, sunglasses, shoes - all goods 20-50% overpriced. Is this because Chinese ready to pay these margins for???!!!

One or my many visits to Dubai mall and the experience is always new and better. Dubai mall is one of the best shopping eating and entertainment experiences you can get anywhere in the world. Even if you only want to go and spend time or you are looking for something special. It's available and in variety. You want food... More

Came for a quick visit and not expecting much. Was I surprised. This is massive. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes to choose from. A big food hall as well. Lots of pastry and confectionary shops. Then there is the shopping. We ended up staying the day and came back the next day. Still haven't visited the whole mall.... More

I went over the weekend and it was so busy that I decided not to stay for too long but you could spend the whole day if so desired. Just make sure you have the right budget, cuz it's all retail therapy, as Dubai is.

Staying in Downtown Dubai

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown Dubai
You can’t fail to miss Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. It towers over the city and resides in the prestigious Downtown development. Once an old army base, Downtown is now the jewel in Dubai’s crown, a beautiful residential and leisure area housing not only the world’s tallest building, but the world’s largest fountains and mall. Wide marble sidewalks are perfect for strolling, with restaurants, art galleries and children’s play areas. Specially commissioned sculptures line the roads and Downtown is often used as a canvas for modern art displays and community events such as Classic Car Shows and National Day parades. In the cooler months, cross one of the many bridges to the Burj Khalifa park and enjoy a picnic alongside residents and visitors, or enjoy a lunch or dinner watch the dancing fountains. Because of its mixed use, Downtown is a fantastic place to mix with Dubai residents and locals and watch real life unfold in a cosmopolitan environment.
