Neighbourhood: Downtown Dubai
You can’t fail to miss Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. It towers over the city and resides in the prestigious Downtown development. Once an old army base, Downtown is now the jewel in Dubai’s crown, a beautiful residential and leisure area housing not only the world’s tallest building, but the world’s largest fountains and mall. Wide marble sidewalks are perfect for strolling, with restaurants, art galleries and children’s play areas. Specially commissioned sculptures line the roads and Downtown is often used as a canvas for modern art displays and community events such as Classic Car Shows and National Day parades. In the cooler months, cross one of the many bridges to the Burj Khalifa park and enjoy a picnic alongside residents and visitors, or enjoy a lunch or dinner watch the dancing fountains. Because of its mixed use, Downtown is a fantastic place to mix with Dubai residents and locals and watch real life unfold in a cosmopolitan environment.

    So much to do
The Dubai Mall is a must visit for anyone visiting Dubai for any amount of time. There are so many activities here that you may run out of time and energy before experiencing all of it. The shopping outlets are numerous and offer a wide variety of products at various price points. The food court is gigantic and has something for everyone to enjoy. And once you are done with shopping and dining you can always do the numerous side activities in the mall such as watching a movie or visiting the Dubai Fountain, Burj Khalifa or the Dubai Aquarium and underwater zoo, all of which are either situated within the mall or accessible via it. I would recommend to set aside a full day to visit this mall and all of its afffiliated activities. For example you can start the day by visiting the Aquarium and underwater zoo, go to the top of the Burj Khalifa around sunset for the best experience and watch the Dubai Fountain show at night, all the while shopping and dining as much as you want. The mall is easily accessible by metro, bus or taxi.

Biggest mall I have ever seen
The dubai mall is by far the biggest mall i have ever seen. With 4 floors and tousands of shops you can get lost very quick. It is so huge that they have an underwater zoo, giant aquarium, big ice skating area, multiple stores of the same brand and yes you can find there EVERY brand. Please note that if you travel from the EU is is not aorth buying in AED since everythijg is more expensive by 200 euro (dior, LV, balenciaga, chanel etc...) and tax free is only aroun 4%! The best shop for me is Balmain since they have all the time 70-90% discount. How they manage to do that i don't know but it is for real. You've got there plenty of restaurants, exchange places with very good rates (discuss with them!) And make shure you keep the paper with rates on, if you have to exchange again just show them the paper they will give you the same or slightly less then what is written on paper. The dubai mall is a place four couples, singles, friends, families... all are welcome.

    Massive! Worth a visit.
The Dubai mall is certainly worth a visit even if you aren't planning on shopping! it is absolutely massive and fantastic to view there are so many artistic sculptures and the human fountain is magical we spent 2-hours walking around it and didn't even buy anything. We valet parked which I feel is worth it if you are spending the day there doing activities. Not only are there plenty of things to do in the mall but it's close to Burj khalifa and the Dubai fountain. We spent hours there. For 105 AED I felt this worth it as after 4 hours of parking you pay 20 per hour anyway. Fantastic place.

Went in the evening, so as to time it with the fountain show. It was still very busy and after gaining access from the metro station, it did take us an age to find an exit, to get outside.
It is a huge mall, and unlike others we’ve been to, it is sensibly laid out, grouping relevant shops together (cosmetics, perfumes, high-end fashion etc).
Some things are ridiculously priced (with UK exchange rate), but then I guess if you’re shopping in the Dubai Mall - you probably don’t care about the price of things…
Well worth a visit, even for the experience.

It is the biggest shopping mall in the world. Luxurious, exquisite, stylish and chill. You will find all the high end brands in this mall. Including american stores and restos like The Cheesecake Factory, See's and many more.

Our family explored the Dubai Mall in July 2023, and it was an absolute shopping extravaganza!

The sheer scale of this mall is mind-boggling, and it offers something for everyone. From high-end luxury boutiques to charming local shops, we were spoilt for choice. The dining options were equally impressive, and we savoured some delectable meals.

The entertainment options are endless too! We caught the mesmerizing Dubai Fountain show and even ventured into the Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo, which was a unique experience for all of us.

The mall's cleanliness and ease of navigation were commendable, making our visit smooth and enjoyable.

Shopping, dining, and entertainment – the Dubai Mall is a complete package for family fun. A must-visit when in Dubai!

This Mall is amazing with the Burj Khalifa and the fountains. Love watching the fountain show - could watch it all day.

Loads of shops to browse and purchase. My favourite stores are Aldo and Charles & Keith as i am a handbag fan.

Great exercise walking from the Metro to the Mall but this is in air conditioned walkways.

The amount of wealth here is obscene . Even though there is zero crime here, I felt unsafe. We were certainly not welcome by the powers that be, were barely tolerated. Our passport was confiscated till we were leaving.

This shopping mall is extreme in every sense of the word. If you think you can see it in an hour or so you’re kidding yourself. You could spend the whole day here and still be left with things unseen. We called last last here late in the day and had dinner here. We managed to get a good spot on the waters edge to watch the fountains which were pretty good. It is packed here with people. The usual shops plus more are here and you really should download the app to get yourself around so you’re not aimlessly walking around in circles. If you’re wanting to shop I’d recommend going early in day to avoid crowds and the traffic getting there

I would avoid this stall at all cost!

I bought a bowl of braised beef noodle for 38AED from this stall and these are my observations:
1. The system is totally chaotic - customers left standing in front of the stall waiting while new customers could not get in to place order. There is no system and total cacophony. Wrong orders were dished out with customers demanding returns.
2. The braised beef in my bowl of noodle was nothing like this that in the photo. It was mainly cheap off cuts with lots of tendons and fatty bits. And these bits were not given enough time to soften in the cooking process causing them to be extremely chewy and unpalatable. I had to discard half of the meat.

It was a totally and utterly disappointment for me.

I don't often give 5* but this place is very impressive. It would take a few days to see everything, but in a day we got a good feel for the place - which is also the home of Dubai Aquarium, Fountains and The Burj Khalifa as well as the Ice Rink.

The largest mall currently in Dubai, with a good selection of shops. You can find pretty much anything, but prices are generally quite high.

Lots of options for dining, with multiple food courts and restaurants.

Also the start point for the tourist bus routes and some hotel shuttles.

Really clean, inviting and easy to pass some time on a hot day. Worth a visit.
