Definitely a must! It is so beautiful and impressive! The Colors, the space, the details, the ceramics... and it is so big! Avoid sunset as the doors are in the shadow! Better at noon

This was the first mosque we visited in Iran and I was stunned. The architecture was why we came to Iran and it didn't disappoint.

It is impossible to put into words the impact of this incredible sacred space. Its famous, intricate blue tile front is only a prelude to the wonders inside. Walking through the mosque's corridors and across its vast courtyard is akin to being inside an ever-widening jewel box of singular beauty. The courtyard and various inside sections are worth spending as much time as you have to just chill... More

huge yet so beautiful. I would expect to see more tourists but both times I visited there were very few. The ceramic workshop is really interesting as well.

The mosque is not in service any more. The entry is 20 Toman for foreigners. There is a museum, the impressive building and a beautiful garden. Don't miss the monk in the garden who offers candy and is there for questions (paid by the mosque, you don't have to pay). We had a very interesting chat with him!

Entering the complex through the gate from Imam square I felt a bit overwhelmed. The façade is huge and covered with bright mostly blue colored tiles and you feel small, not to say puny. The effect is exacerbated once you enter the central space where four enormous facades with domes behind them await the visitor. It feels like you might... More

Great view during night. I didn't get to go inside the mosque. Only viewed it from the outside. Beautiful.
