An exxtremely beautiful mosque

If you are in Iran you may well visit a lot of mosques, This one however is certainly not run of the mill and well worth a visit,

This mosque seems to be known by multiple names. Whatever name it's called, it's located at the end of the main square and requires an entry fee of 200k IRR to go inside. The trouble with Iran is that it's hard to know whether it's worth paying the entrance fee as 200k is the standard price for foreigners for most... More

This absolutely stunning mosque impressed us very much. No need to write a review really as I assume every visitor to Esfahan will want to see this beautiful complex.

Possibly the second most beautiful mosque in Esfahan after Sheikh Lotfollah, well worth visiting, notably for the beautiful tile work.

Your trip to Isfahan wouldn't be completed without visiting this James' Mosque. The complex has one of the most impressive (old) mosque in Iran.

Good thing these tiled domed mosques are so beautiful, because even with the scaffolding they are still beautiful, you just kinda have to look some places and ignore others. This mosque is beautiful, scaffolding or no.

Pity they've seriously upped the prices for non-Iranians. But it's still worth spending a couple of hours appreciating this place and its atmosphere.

There are several beautiful mosques in Iran, but this one is out this world. It's "1001 Nights" come true, a masterpiece in the history of architecture and a triomphe for Islamic art. This mosque proves that muslim architects were way ahead of their colleques in ancient times.
