Khans or souks are specialized shops handling one specialty and this is the souk of tailors. People would buy material and bring it to be done. A must to understand the bustling nature of this vibrant city.

I love everything related tobold tripoli... A walk in the old city will make u feel alive, all the noise, the vibrant colors, the people, and history are amazing. Enjoy a travel in time

Very well restored khan, architecture dates back to the Ottomans era, it is a shame it is not fully operational, the traditional tailoring is not on demand these days. not to be missed

Tripoli old Souqs very charming and historical market to go to something very different and so traditional Nice market something you will not see any where else

In English it is the tailors motel.Historical place with many doms inside. You should visit this place where u can taste rich history and culture whether in architecture, food and cloths

One of the best tripolitian traditional places . Its a sewing place its mainly for traditional clothes .

This is a very charming historical market not to be missed ! Tripoli has a big history and this is just a little peak to what the city can unfold for a visitor!

There are also 4 bath houses ( Hammam souks) one of them (Hammam Al-Abed) is still a functioning Hammam and only men are allowed to enter to bathe.

More airy than other parts of the souk. Also worth noting that a local Resturant is located at the end for break. Wish we knew having walked for hours in the heat with children.

And a visit to the souks wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the Khan al-Khayateen. The “Tailors' Market” is an old caravansary specialized in textile products. It’s basically a high-rise Inn built around a narrow court for accommodating caravans and shoppers. It is one of the few known souks with such an architecture. It was recently renovated in 2007... More
