The ropes course and zip lining were amazing. The staff were well trained and helpful! This was the first time doing an outside ropes course, and I felt safe despite the trickiness of the course. One of the guides carried my phone to take pictures for my friend and I throughout the entire course. The views from the zip line were beautiful!!

We went to the Green Jungle Park with our three little boys while in Luang Prabang. They had a blast! The park is lovely and staff are security conscious. Even our 5 year old did zip lining and loved it! The transfer is also great. They collected us from the hotel and drove us on an electric car to the Mekong where we took the ferry. On the other side there was another car waiting for us. The guide was also great. All the family had a wonderful time!

I’ve given this a terrible review for one reason only and that is to make a point about the animals that are kept in cages.
They proudly told me about the deer, monkeys, and rabbits in the gardens only for us to find that they are all kept in small and empty cages. There is also an amazingly massive buffalo just kept tied closely to a tree. The deer is alone and can barely walk and the two monkeys look absolutely mentally broken, pacing back and forth and staring blankly at you. What makes it worse is all of the Asian tourists that we saw mocking them, kicking the cages to get their attention for a photo, throwing stones and no one says anything like it’s just normal. We had a great morning and this unfortunately put a massive dampener on it. They could let the deer and rabbits run wild in the gardens and it would add to it positively, and if you travel or live in Asia why do you need to see monkeys in a cage - it’s ugly in the beautiful surroundings, cruel, and so pointless. I tried to discuss it with a worker but he had no idea what I was on about.
If we knew about this we’d probably not have gone as it’s the only way they might learn, unfortunately. The place is amazing other than that. Great zip lines, rope course, waterfall, gardens. It could be a perfect eco attraction which is so rare in Asia but this just spoils it.
I know this is common in Laos but please take note and make a change as this is not what western tourists want to see and dents your green/eco image.

Hello Dan,
First of all, thank you so much for your message. We need reviews like yours to improve our park.
Indeed, we would like that Green Jungle Park become a eco tourism place. But as you said, this is rare in Asia and it takes time to evolve mentalities and structures. We are working on it. But we can assure you that the two apes were released into nature some weeks ago.
We are going to maintain our efforts in the respect of nature and its living being. You are welcome to visit us again, to be witness of our changes.
Thanks again for your review.
Best regards

Read about the Green Jungle Flight in my travel guide book and had it on my Laos list (especially for ziplining). Since the park was founded only 11 months ago, nearly no one I talked to in Luang Prabang knew about it. So I booked online and received the confirmation within one hour. Although I booked very spontaneously, they picked me from my hotel two hours later and brought me to their dedicated ferry. The boat ride took 40min and after that, a minivan brought me to the park. After a warm welcome, they instructed me how to handle the zipline, and put on all the safety belts. Two guides were around me all the time and I felt very safe! The whole ziplining was a blast and you can enjoy the wonderful nature in 360 degrees. After that I went to their natural swimming pool below the waterfall and swam in crystal blue water. The whole park offers a wide range of activities and is getting even bigger. That day, there were nearly no tourists, so it's still like an insiders' tip. To conclude: the whole package includes pick up from the guesthouse, boat transfer (no need for extra mekong tour any more), park entrance fee, the booked activity, tea/coffee and water, and all the transfer back home. The park is new and so are the ropes, the installations, and all other facilities. Everything for a very very fair price. Plus: they pay attention to employ people from the nearby villages and are conscious about nature (keep the place pretty clean). I'd love to go there once a week!

We did the half day trek and zipline with Lao Green, and thoroughly enjoyed both. We were picked up from our hotel and driven riverside where we caught a long boat to Lao Green facilities. The guides were knowledgeable with a great sense of humour, although the zipline guides didn't speak much English (this really didn't matter to us though). The trek was a hike through Laotian jungle, the path was quite overgrown in some areas, which might be common during low season. In total we completed about 7 zipline flights with short rope courses that connected each zipline. Highly recommend this activity, and would definitely do it again! Thank you to all the guides at Lao Green for ensuring it was a fun and safe experience.

We had a wonderful short stayed in a stunning place last weekend. Clam and peaceful place, good for relax and treat your mind. Very lovely Luxury camp manager, Oscar and his team to welcome you. There is pocket wifi at the lobby and restaurant. No TV in the room. Our room no.2, near breakfast restaurant. Room is not too big or small but toilet is quite small. Our continental breakfast was great. There is an activity and beautiful flowers garden around the camp, unfortunately, we didn’t have time to try. We will come back to stay for sure next time.

One of the best things you can discover when travelling solo is a good English speaking driver with an equally good sense of humour. This has certainly been the case with Somsay Saiyasith, my driver in Luang Prabang! I chose to use him after reading some excellent reviews here on trip advisor and am very glad I did! His driving is exceptional and his vehicle, he keeps immaculate. We organised our tours by email and I couldn't have been happier with the itineraries that he came up with to satisfy my suggestions. It was Somsay who suggested that we visit Green Jungle Park.
This is a beautiful park situated 17km along a great new road after a short ferry ride over the Mekong River. The park was very quiet when I visited. We climbed up to see the waterfall and the water was so inviting, we both had a swim. It's also good to have a driver who likes to share in the activities with a solo traveller. The park also does zip lining. Over the road a boardwalk leads to beautifully manicured gardens with many species of flowers and lots of butterflies, all located amongst luscious green, well kept lawns.
There are even Ostriches and water buffalo. You can watch the park employees going about their daily work keeping the park beautifully maintained. All in all I would recommend a visit to this lovely park. They also too meals and of course the ubiquitous BeerLao!
If you are planning on doing any touring and like a polite, courteous, English speaking driver, I would suggest you contact Somsay. He is a font of local knowledge and has an answer for virtually every question. His vehicle can accommodate between 1 and 15 (max) passengers. I had only intended doing 1 day of touring but enjoyed his company so much that I had him plan a second one.
Oh! and by the way.. He loves his photo taken.. haha
Thanks for the great tours Somsay!

Absolutely stunning setting for a zipline - like something out of Middle Earth with a giant waterfall behind you. Definitely recommend doing the ropes course as well.

We spent most of the day in the park and had a really enjoyable time walking in the beautiful gardens and swimming below the waterfall. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and simply cannot do enough to ensure you enjoy your time with them.
Despite being 65 and 70 we did the zip line. Wow, what an exciting, adventurous and challenging thrill! We loved it. The adrenaline never stopped pumping but at no stage did we feel at risk, as the supervisory staff brilliantly and efficiently made sure we never had less than two safety straps clipped on. Most of all, their sense of fun and adventure was so infectious and, in between our screaming, we never stopped laughing. You have to do it. This park is a must.

Hi Dave,
You need sneakers or sport shoes. Wear shorts and t-shirt, because you get a tight harness on to keep you on the lines, so not too much...
