At 5 pm a part of the Sisavangvong street is turned into a market. The vendors at the market are quite relaxed, so you can walk around looking without experiencing aggressive attempts to make you buy this and that. Lots of textiles in nice colors,...More

It was quite interesting to see what do locals get food and clothes wise. I was unfamiliar with half of the things displayed but that is the reason I enjoyed strolling around and discovering it all

A very local market. Food and everyday used items found here. Not a place to shop for souvenirs. It is interesting to go through but it's the same as any other local market throughout Southeast Asia. Not worth the trip.

Phosi market is definitely worth a visit if you want to get an idea about life away from the tourist crowd. The fruit, vegetables and meat section was really interesting. I saw everything from live eels to semi-dried rats and pig trotters.

You will find a lot of local products here also mixed with some imported garments . Another section houses the local produce but a walk down the morning market is much better to experience the things locally grown and sold. An average market with a...More

This market is just outside town. Its meant for locals and there was nothing of interest to me. In Luang Prabang a visit to the night market, morning market and a walk down Sisavangvong road is all one needs to see or buy the local...More

I visited here a few times in search of a few items requested by my wife and daughter. The markets are a labyrinth of walkways and you can easily lose your way. The stalls catered to almost everything needed in everyday living which also adds...More
