Beautiful temple complex. So peaceful and calm with lots to see with several smaller buildings surrounding it. Alms giving ceremony is in front of this in the morning and it also looks pretty in the dark stillness of the early morning.

A beautiful temple located near 3 Nagas hotel. You can do Alms giving in early morning and the temple is nice, peaceful.

Beautiful temple in the town. Located near city center and a few minutes walk from night market. Early morning or late evening is the best time to take a photo

Actually, I visited this Wat in the evening, in the dark. It was lovely. Everything was softly lit so you could look carefully and at leisure at the lovely carvings and applied decoration. There is a lovely standing Buddha of not inconsiderable height.
You will doubtless stumble across this Wat whilst wandering around town in the slightly cooler evenings.

This was my favorite temple in Luang Prabang. A great photo op in the early morning, when the temple is not very crowded.

Picturesque Wat and standing Buddha highlight this temple near Wat Xieng Thong...on main road. Worth a few pics and short shop when traipsing thru Old Town LP.

The alms giving for the monks is just outside this temple and if you are going for alms giving then visit the temple either before or after alms giving. We did both. Before alms giving everyone is busy outside and it was the perfect time to visit the temple without any crowds at all. Totally peaceful in the early morning dawn. After the alms giving we went back to visit the temple just as the sun was rising. A really beautiful temple with the standing Buddha

Being one of the most popular temples to visit it becomes clear why. The building and architecture is amazing and the history inside is fantastic. You will not be disappointed with a visit to Wat Sensoukharam. Well worth a visit.

This looks pretty similar to any other temple you’ll see in Luang Prabang, but it has more history. It is on the main street that has the night market. You can get the best pictures at noon, but at 5am is when the monks will collect their alms.
