A great resource for locals - I spent some time teaching here - good place to meet with novice monks who are looking to build their English skills. There's not much about the library itself, but bear in mind that Laos is desperately short of...More

They are always looking for donations of quality easy-to-read books for their many patrons learning English, even Spanish and Chinese. Write to them first for their latest "wish list" and pack along some books to donate. You can also buy books in the local Lao...More

just on the main street but easy to be distracted by everything else there! I love going to local libraries and this was great - a variety of books in different languages and a book swop/buy option too. Very friendly people (who isn't in Laos!).

We didn't visit the library itself,we bought some items from the shop attached to it. The library supports education in Lao villages via various schemes and deserves all the help and recognition it can get. Recommended.

We went here to buy books for the floating library. It is a pleasant place right in the middle of town, so easy to visit and to contribute in this small way.

We brought pens, books and made $$ donations. They put the donated in a sort of traveling quilt with pockets, and when it is full, they take it to a remote village to help the children learn. The $$ is used to buy books to...More

The library itself is not too interesting, but they have a project that connects locals with visitors. An incredibly interesting experience for everybody. Have you ever been curious about the perspective of lao people? This is your chance to get interesting stories and do something...More

We dropped in to the Library and spoke to the lovely lady on the counter about their work. We were very impressed and made a donation.
