Spend a morning on ourLIVING RICE FARM,Come and let us show you how rice is grown on our farm, experience the life of a farmer and try your hand at some of the activities. Or just view it all from the comfort of our traditional Lao rice house balcony, which is surrounded by rice terraces and our organic vegetable farm. All the family can join in and there are great photo opportunities. Our converted rice barn offers simple but comfortable accommodation for two, overlooking rice fields and mountains. Relax on the terrace and sample some of our home-brewed rice wine, walk to the ruined temple through our rice farm, be pampered with a massage then have afternoon tea, visit the local weavers who make our farm outfits before joining our farm family for a game of petanque or rattan ball! Watch or join in the preparation of the Lao dinner then dine with our farm family before you retire for the night (maybe after a Beer Lao or two?). Wake up to a brand new day and a typical Lao breakfast before joining the Rice Experience for the morning

We had a wonderful experience learning all the 12 steps in growing rice. It is amazing to see how much time and effort there is in growing rice. Here they give you the chance to participate from ploughing muddy fields behind a buffalo, to planting...More

Highly recommend this tour. It definitely is a "designed" experience, but extremely well done. Everything was enjoyable, unique, and memorable. Our guide, Li, was fantastic - knowledgeable, quick to smile, multi-lingual, and seemed to enjoy the job and people.

The Living Land farm supports several families that produce organic herbs, vegetables and I think fruits. It was started to try to change the devastating method of farming--slash and burn--Laos used in the past. Visitors get to plant rice in six inch deep mud if...More

My friends and I had the best day here! I was worried it would feel really touristy, but it felt very authentic. Definitely recommend staying for lunch!

We had a wonderful half day at the Living Land farm where they showed us how to grow and harvest rice. Very nice guides! Ended with some typical tasting of products made from rice.

Hi,would it be possible to visit The living land Company but just to watch and have oral explanations regarding the work done in it but without taking part of workshop. As we are a group of 7 people containing young kids and older who wouldn't really enjoy an too much immersive experience or spend too long time, we would only be gently initiated. Another question is what happen the rainy days? Thanks a lot

Would recommend you avoid it if you just want to just observe. Reason: you are taken into the fields with a lot of slush and mud around you, with thin and slippery paths, something that can make you slip. And with kids, such... More

To Whom It May Concern: My wife and I are traveling to Luang Prabang from July 24 - July 26. We would very much like to visit the Living Land Company while there. I noticed that your website seems to be hacked. I am unable to get information as to your hours, admission fees, transportation, and general activities provided on site. Would you be so kind as to give me this information via email. We will be staying in the Lakhangthong Boutique Hotel and wanted any suggestions about transportation to and from the Living Land Company. Much appreciated
