A quiet spot overlooking the confluence of the Nam Khan and Mekong rivers. Not very large; just a couple of short paths, but worth having a look. Or, better, have a coffee of smoothie at the Viewpoint Restaurant nearby.

A lovely park overlooking the junction of the two rivers and away from shops, sellers, thuk thuk drivers and boatmen. There are no toilets here.

A relaxing park overlooking the junction of the Nam Khan and Mekong Rivers, with a nice view of a bamboo bridge. A good resting spot after walking around Luang Prabang.

After walking around Luang Prabang, this park at the head of the peninsula was a pleasant respite away from the effects of the smoke pollution that seemed to get trapped in Luang Prabang - and this visit was in late November (four months before smoke season is supposed to start). There is a lot of work put into the trees, shrubs and flowers and a visit here is worth many photos in the cool shade. Put it on your list of places in your walking tour of Luang Prabang.

During a walk of the peninsular, keeping the river to our left, we stumbled on this beautiful park with many flowers and an excellent place to sit in the shade of the trees overlooking the confluence of the Mekong and Nam Khan rivers, adding to the view was one of the two (pedestrian) bamboo bridges on the Nam Khan.
