Reliable, friendly, knowledgable staff. We did a day trip to see the elephants at Tad Sae and everything was pretty much as advertised. Would recommend.

As a single traveller with a few days free in Luang Prabang I took my time to check out the biking tours available. I have been on some dodgy bicycles in SE Asia (resulting in a fractured hand) and thus wanted to go with a reputable company. I have been on a few Grasshopper tours and would have gone with... More

Dear MrDonatello, You are correct, we do have a large fleet of well-maintained mountain bikes. However, we honestly made a mistake when booking your tour on that specific day. I, on behalf of all members from Tiger Trail, would like to apologize for this gaffe. We offered to arrange another mountain bike so that you could continue the tour as... More

First tour we did was kayaking on the Na Mou which was excellent scenery and good fun, but the guide was a bit so-so, nor great at giving us instructions/advice on how to avoid obstacles. He took us on a part of the river that was extremely shallow and we got stuck several times. The second tour we booked was... More

Dear Con-Penny, I am sorry to hear about your Nam Ou kayaking experience. Please keep in mind that it is currently the dry season in Laos, and thus the rivers will be more shallow compared to other parts of the year. However, I implore you to contact us regarding further details about your tour guide. This will help improve our... More

With a fairly large group of 20 people we booked an elephant riding and a walk to a Kmuh village for half a day. The group consisted mostly of people in their late fifties and early sixties. The mahouts were very nice and they gave us their place and they just made photos. I gave my Canon 60D reluctantly, but... More

Dear AndreeaDor, Thank you for booking an elephant ride and trek to a local village. It sounded like you had a great time on this half-day adventure. From handling so many cameras on regular tours, our tour guides are quite skilled at taking photographs. I am equally glad that you enjoyed a soft trekking experience to a local Khmu village.... We were in Cambodia when booking the tours for our next stop, Luang Prabang (LP). Tiger Trails (TT) was one of a handful of companies recommended by Lonely Planet and we liked the variety of tours offered. Two days before we were to arrive, we emailed TT to book a tour for our first full day in LP. We received... More

Tiger Rail arranged two trips for a smaller group with great satisfaction. The city tour was led by Mr Sengvilay, who was very knowledgeable about the history of Luang Prabang and shared much on Lao culture and traditions. The one-day trek was led by Mr Bounchanh and Mr Onchan, who took us through the woods, villages, on rivers and to... More

I booked a 1 day bike tour called the chicken run during my stay in Lubang Prabang. I am an experienced rider and have ridden extensively in SE Asia. I could easily have done this trip on my own but wanted to get a feel for the countryside with the benefit of a local guide and I am glad I... More

We booked a one day trek whilst in LP. Professional staff in the office. Loved our guide Lee Vang - a guy with a smile as wide as his face! The trek was great, through fields, jungle & villages. Tiger Trail Outdoor Adventures came highly recommended, so we decided to give it a try. We booked a full day "join in" trekking tour that included visits to several villages and a waterfall. We did a full day tour starting with an elephant village (around 1 hour ride and at least 40 minutes we took over control of an elephant - amazing!), then following a walking trek into a jungle village and finishing the day with swimming in magic waterfalls.
