I was very fortunate to have had my wedding at the Governor House, and to have actually lived there briefly. At that time it was a very impressive place, with typical colonial architectural features, including a long drive to the main entrance and an imposing set of stairs to the front door, both of which immediately put one in awe... Governor house Karachi is the residence of the Governor of the Sind province. It is a beautiful colonial stricture built by the British during the day's India was a British colony . It is a model of British architecture.

It was great to see and feel the ambiance of Jinnah's house. Some very good old photos show different facets of the Jinnah family. The housekeeper gave us a good guide tour and a running commentary of of the history of the house. A definite place for all history lovers.

I have visited Governor House Karachi four times since 2004. The building though no match to the governor House Lahore but the fact that it remained in the use of the “FATHER of THE NATION” makes it stand taller. It has three wings.
