Nice building. Once served as a Town Hall for Karachi. Now houses a library and museum. Visited in the morning and it was OK. Came back during the night, and ambiance was different. Nice wind blowing. Lot of families and couples milling around. Nearby hi-rises including the Marriott add to the experience. Entrance is free during the day bit a parking fee is collected in the vening.

There was an exhibition going on when i went there. The place itself isnt well maintained from the outside but inside was a completely different story. It is an average place if there is no exhibition going on.

This was across the Marriott we were staying. The park itself gets busy in the evening but you have to watch out or you will get scammed. The building was built by the Brits and has museum of sorts. Like with everything in Pakistan nothing is maintained. Would no have wasted time if it was not across for our hotel.

Frere hall was a fun place to be around. Every Sunday the book stalls were setup there and became the reason for me to go. There are often art exhibitions in the hall and the building itself is marvellous. Went there this week for the marigold festival and had lots of fun

Frere Hall is a must see! It's a combination of museum, art, and history. Exhibits change and it's a great learning experience. The iconic site needs more upkeeping. When you walk through the exhibit hall, look up to see an unfinished master piece (I'll spare the details for your visit).

Went to Frere Hall after admiring it from the outside. It's a beautiful building set in well maintained gardens. Inside there is an art gallery displaying a large selection of the Pakistani artist Sadequain's art.
On the ground floor there's a library which on first glance looks to have a limited selection but there are some real gems inside including some old books - a 700 year old book written in Arabic was the highlight. Mohammed Zeeshan was a knowledgeable guide.
