Ever since watching Veer Zala, I'd wanted to visit Wagah Border to not just see the ceremony or visit the location of he film ( last scene) but also to watch the great ceremony - a display of love for one's nation. Its a gate between India and Pakistan and a parade ceremony which army personnel from both sides engage into obviously on their respective sides :) I guess you shouldn't miss it if you are near Amritsar but I wouldn't plan to go here out of my way.

The gate closing in the evening between Pakistan and India is spectacular. Crowd noise, enthusiasm on both sides of the border is part of the thrill. Seeing the guards do their high-stepping show of might was memorable.
