This daily ceremony is so well coreographed by both sides and for me it is much more preferable to actual warfare. The nationalism on display is not unexpected and is a public spectacle of the highest quality.

Perfect Place to visit with Family, Leave around 1600 Hrs. from Lahore to Wagah. Take Pictures. Buy the Popcorn, Water or Drinks from the parking (The drinks and popcorns sold at the venue are pretty darn expensive)

Do not know of any other countries that have similar flag lowering ceremonies. The music and cheering seem to instill a sense of patriotism. A very festive yet competitive atmosphere. Arrive early for good seats.and am told that weekends draw more people
