Lahore Fort is a huge place, so allocate enough time to explore. Either come well documented, or with a guide, because there is much to see and explain. Although it is iconic for Lahore and very popular with locals and tourists, some sites are dilapidated.

I spent a few hours going through it on a Sunday. It was crowded and the smaller museum and chambers were not very well prepared for such a crowd. Also poorly maintained and the artifacts could be presented in a much more attractive way. But...More

The vast fort looks over the city and has been occupied by most ruling powers. Under patchy restoration works, there are flashes of its former glory. The lay-out of the gardens are intact, as are most buildings, to get a sense of how the fort...More

The Lahore Fort has been a big place to visit. It had many structures like sheesh mahal, deewan-e-khas, etc. But now, the visit to Fort is restricted to only Deewan-e-Aam and that too from the bottom. Preservation is not a priority now a days. People...More
