The photos work well in full sunlight, and I'd put this one in early on the trip before temple exhaustion sets in.

This is not your usual lending library. To a Buddhist it is the only place where the original guidelines to life are written and preserved in stone.

Lovely site and it's not overrun by tourists. You have some vendors there but they're not too pushy and they're fun to talk to (as they speak some English in contrast to most other Burmese). Beautiful building go visit it before you climb up Mandalay...More

Amazing feat of architecture and history seeing how this is the largest book in the world. Would highly recommend taking in this site if in Mandalay

We had just walked up and then back down Mandalay Hill so this place was close by although not well sign posted. Very interesting to walk around, and quite a stunning place for photos especially with Mandalay Hill in the background. Not to be missed...More

Another stunning beauty in Mandalay, right behind Guthauraw pagoda. Well worth a visit and a few hundred photos. The history behind here is very interesting. This being the place of the 4th meeting of Buddhists to discuss what Buddha said and note it down on...More

This place is similar to Kuthodaw with the world’s largest book. This also have stones with inscriptions in small white pagodas. Combine the visit with Kuthodaw just before climbing Mandalay Hill. Bring wet tissues to wash your feet afterwards. No shoes allowed.

A large and quiet place where tourists can blend, is a mix of white and bright colors where it is good to walk around

Nearby the World Biggest Book, this temple looks like it little brother, but with taller mini-pagodas containing same carved marble panels, what make this temple even more photogenic. White and Gold are again predominant colors and in 15-20 min your visit is done.
