This monument can be visited only from out and it is very difficult to stop in the busy streets and see it carefully.
It is a dedication to the soldiers who lost their lives at sea.

The place is closed. You can only see it from the pavement as the picture shows. I could not even read what is written on it.

The Alexandria Unknown Naval Soldier Memorial is dedicated to unknown soldiers who lost their lives in sea battles. It was originally designed as a memorial to Khedive Ismail (Ismail the Magnificent) but was repurposed after the 1952 Egyptian Revolution to commemorate fallen naval personnel. The memorial is located on the Corniche, so you will likely see it without even trying (we passed by twice). A touching tribute to Egyptian seafaring history.

The Alexandria Naval Unknown Soldier Memorial is dedicated to the unknown soldiers who lost their lives in the sea battles, it is present on the Corniche of Alexandria. It was built under the rule of Muhammed Ali of Egypt. The place is nice to take some photos , but as the place is very crowded and taking photos was not an easy. You can also enjoy the sea view cross the road.

If you have ever worked on a boat you must visit this memorial. It is right on the corniche facing the waters on a fitting way. Be sure to visit.

My hotel was next to it, so I remember it well. It's just ok, but well, Alexandria, unlike Cairo, can not boast many interesting buildings, so it's a welcome addition.

This is a scenic monument by the Corniche in central Alexandria. It's a fitting tribute to unknown naval casualties and makes for a nice picture in daytime and and night. It's a 5-10 minute attraction, basically the time it takes to walk around a take a few pictures.

We did not get to stop and actually walk on/visit this, but drove by it a few times as we toured Alexandria.
