This museum takes you back by a few centuries. The display is good. You don't need any guide. It tells you about the glorious days of Egypt.

Better organized than the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, this museum sits in what use to be the old consulate building for the US.

Distributed over three floors, with pieces from ancient Egypt through the Greek, Roman, Christian, Islamic, French occupation though recent times. Particularly interesting are the coins and a silver shield from the 19th century.

very limited collection in this museum, and very limited space too. That's why they seldom do marketing and nobody hear any more about it.
