There is so much history to see in Egypt that it's impossible to see or remember it all. If you are in Alexandria and have some time, this is worth a look. Don't go out of your way.

Whilst small, the museum has a lot of history which is extremely well presented. There are three levels to the museum, including Ancient Egyptian, Coptic and the Muslim world. My favourite, by far was the Ancient Egyptian exhibition, particularly the mummy's tomb. There is English...More

There were interesting things: statutes, coins, art, weapons and fabrics. But it's very small and there isn't much to see. You can take free photos in the garden though.

It is not a waste of time. But if you visited the Egyptian museum in Cairo then unless you are a fan of museums, you will not be impressed.

A smaller museum but packed with items. The museum is not as packed as others and so though only small no bustling and being knocked about. Another plus was the fact there were no hawkers just outside a very relaxing stop.

A new museum is being built for this collection, so only a small part of the items are being displayed in this temporary site. What is there is very good. One floor is for the Roman/Greco era, and the other Egyptian. We understand that the...More

Located close to the city center, the museum sums up the history of Alexandria in the three floors of the renovated Italianate style Al-Saad Bassili Pasha Palace. Besides artifacts from the four main ages of Egypt: Ancient, Greek-Roman, Coptic and Islamic, there is an array...More
