The tower built between 1440-1494 part of the city fortification, the tower burnt during on the 1689 with last restoration between 2003-2005, nowadays it has been transfer into a museum. The tower and the fortification is part of the broad promenade and park with good view of the city.

An old stone structure, cylindrical in shape, which was part of the old city defense system. Simple, with nothing really impressive. Closed to visitors. Take a picture on the go and keep walking.

Initially, the bastion belonged to the gold producers in Cetate but, later, it was given to the drapers in Brasov. The Postavarilor Bastion, with its elliptical shape, is located on the northeast corner of the fortress. It has a wall thickness of 2 meters, a height of 20 meters and a diameter of 16 meters. Interesting!

It is a great walk around the wall. Every guild had their own part of the tower to defend during war and this is the draper's quarter . There are information boards to tell you where you are , the guild and how the guilds were organised so they can defend the castle. If you have time you can visit the museum and see the model of the castle as it would be have during medieval and Renaissance times.

This is one of the strong old bastions remaining from the old walls. At a corner of the wall, it was key to the town's defense.

It is the Wall Fortification Attraction that is closest to the Pedestrian Lane or the Republic Street. IT appeared to be undergoing some renovations made of orange bricks laid out horizontally like walls.

Saw it during my walk along the Tampa Promenade. Took several pictures here!

There are a number of fortifications around the city, which are interesting enough in the context of the cities history but also demonstrate the history of warfare & the need to adapt the cities defences to meet the threat of the evolving military technologies of the time.

Braşov has very well preserved walls. This section is very beautiful and I think has the largest of the defensive towers. Originally defended and maintained by the Goldsmiths Guild

You can't access the Bastion, but there is an information board in English giving details.

I do recommend the walk around the old city walls where you can see all these towers and bastions.
