Large square surrounded by terraces and cafes. If you came to attend a show or a concert in Sibiu, it's probably going to be held here. Good spot for those who enjoy feeding pigeons. Lots of benches to sit on, unfortunatelly there's no shade, as there are no trees in the area. Overall, worth a quick stroll before visiting the Brukenthal Museum.

We spent an afternoon and evening in Sibiu. The visit to the city decorated with many lights in the evening, the Christmas market, with local specialties to discover was very pleasant. Pretty town with beautiful buildings.

It is a cute little Plaza with a striking statue of the founder of the first Romanian language school. I did not find Sibiu very beautiful after having been to Cluj in gorgeous Hungarian/Romanian Transylvania. It is very average for Europe-I gave it an additional star for the statue.

Picturesque city with nice buildings and sights, clean streets. Taverns with traditional Romanian cuisine. Sights: the Astra museum, just outside the city, the history museum, the Evangelical church, the orthodox metropolis, etc.

We stay three days and it isn't enough for me.We drink at the terrace and see the arhitecture, the windows on the roof's house, the turnul Sfatului-where we climbed and see the nice panorama. It is a beautifull city.

An impressive sized square, that was open and clean and full of life. A nice place to absorb the atmosphere of the city, to sit and people watch and to enjoy the architecture of the buildings around. There are some nice places to eat or drink around the square and it’s a good base to orient yourself around for exploring the town.

A good place to start the stroll through the city. Everything is on the walking perimeter. Tourist office, churches, the Bridge of Lies, a tower, old city fortification, museums, cages and restaurants.

This old main square in Sibiu is pretty nice. When I was there they set all these candles up in the middle and was quite spectacular at night to walk around. Afew acts were playing too you could enjoy. There are many restaurants around here to enjoy too.

We stopped one night for dinner and then a walk around the center. Well-maintained pedestrian streets, very beautiful central square, we stopped for a coffee at the Christmas stalls. You spend just over an hour climbing the tower

This is one of the finest squares in Europe. Out of season it is an absolute delight because there aren't too many tourists about. Do think of an excuse to go into the tourist office, housed in a magnificrent former bank and also accommodating the town hall. Very helpful lady and a policeman who likes to try his French as well as his English.
