We went this morning and avoided the hail. Some of the artwork is better lit and displayed than others but it was a worthwhile couple of hours and at a little over £3 each for pensioners, excellent value. We also enjoyed seeing the furniture and collections displayed. The courtyard would be pleasant on a sunny day, but today was certainly... More

Not only huge number of paitings but also an oriental collection, original furniture and wall papers are on display. It is woth to visit if you are interested in paintings. It is really tiresome, especially for kids. Unfortunately many paintings are far from the visitor area and it is not possible to read the titles or observe the artwork precisely.... More

I was here two days ago and opted just for the European art side as the Romanian art is just 18-20th centuries. There are two separate tickets and combined is a bit pricey for Romania. There is also a separate exorbitant fee for taking photos. The European art collection is mildly interesting in my opinion, having seen hundreds of museums... More

Nice overview of the cultural history of the town and the area. Very rich collection nicely displayed in an interesting building (former nobleman's residence and town hall.

This is more expensive part of touring this city but well worth it. Don't bother paying to take pictures. Others have already and posted them online. Nothing like seeing it with your own eyes. Art is never the same when digitized. The inner courtyard is beautiful and the basement part is very funny and entertaining!

We visited the European gallery and as well the Romanian gallery. The European gallery is from my point of view not too impressing, there are missing the tags of some paintings and the lighting is not the best for enjoying the paintings. On the other hand the Romanian gallery is better organized, better illuminated and very nice works exposed.

I was visiting this museum in december 2016. A large colection of art and a show of old time stile of living. no regrets spending 2 days trough it . No words can describe the beauty of the castle.

The staff was nice and polite. It took us an entire day to visit 4 locations of the museum, but it was a pleasant activity.

Worth the cost of entrance. It's a lot smaller than most European galleries but has some interesting pieces, notable Dutch paints. I particularly enjoyed the buildings itself and most of the furniture pieces.
