The Roman Theater is top of the old town and is very well seen on the road crossing the city. You must certanly visit here.

We had an excellent view of the Theatre from the streets above. We did not pay the entrance fee so did not wander through this fairly intact, still used, theatre.

Hard to believe that this well-preserved theater remained buried until the 60's and was only discovered after a landslide. If there is not a concert going on, you can enter for a small fee or you can get a good free view from the gate...More

The place is loaded with a lot of spirit. Each visit brings a delight. We often visit it at concerts and plays and we are very pleased every time.

It costs about 2 euros to visit "Plovdiv Roman Theatre" so is very good value for money.Apparently it is one of the best conserved Roman Theatres in Europe.We enjoyed our time there.

Excellent and very accessible.It is a short walk from the main part of the old town. Plovdiv overall is very walkable. Be sure to include this while you are in Plovdiv.

Sorry, I don't know, I used my debit card in ATMs to access local currencies all across eastern Europe with no problem. If you do try to use dollars or euros, they may accept them, but you will lose on the exchange rate... More

I haven't seen a ramp for wheelchairs and in general the access to the place to start with will be very tricky - the old town is mostly laid with cobble stones and on foot it can be tricky, let alone with a helping vehicle... More
