We, a family of four, were staying very close to the Cathedral and decided to look in.
The Cathedral is quite small; it is extensively decorated with wall and ceiling paintings which, although maybe not of the highest artistic merit, portray very many biblical figures.
I have no doubt that a visit would be much w meaningful for somebody more religious than me (ie. almost anybody).

This is the main church of Kragujevac which is not very big but the interior is very beautiful. Please dress modestly (no shorts) as they are pretty strict about not letting people in with shorts.

This is a beautiful church, smaller than many in Serbia with some construction going on inside. The frescos are currently being repainted and it is still worth a look to see how the scaffolds are put up in order for painters to come in and work! Worth a visit indeed

This is a spectacular church in the woods with wonderful mosaics - it is well worth a visit. The mausoleum underneath is also quite beautiful.

Stopped in on a walking tour. Serene and with beautiful paintings. Check out the old munitions factory behind the church too.

New churches in the Principality of Serbia had been built for a long time under

The designer was architect Andreja Andrejevic. A member offspring of
wellknown family from Kragujevac. He was a student of Kragujevac high school and
studied architecture in Petrograd.
He designed a new church in Kragujevac under the influence of the Russian
school of building orthodox churches. It was an interpretation of the Byzantine churches
and at the same time Serbian medieval influence. A high, five domed building was
erected where “the stock market” once stood.
The church of the Dormition.
It became a pattern. The turnover in style was done. Since then Serbian churches
have been built in spirit of Byzantine style.

This is one of the landmarks of the city of Kragujevac. It's near by First Grammar School and National museum. Also near by pedestrian zone. It's the most beautiful to visit it in the early morning while the church choir is singing - beautiful.
