We walked all the way up to the back and left of old town, and found this yellow building on top of the stairs. The building itself is neat, but the views of the city are nicer.

Located at the north end of Square of Arms , built in the 17th Cent. , Napoleon Theatre is one of the nice historic buildings in Old Town Kotor . It became a theatre in the 19th Cent. and during the 20th Cent. it served as Kotor Town Hall . Today it is part of the fine Hotel Cattaro .
Other attractions near by : A beautiful lookout place on the Kampana Tower near the Citadela restaurant ; the Kotor Bazar ; the Cats Museum; St. Michael Church .

The Napoleon Theatre is located in the main square upon entrance to the old town of Kotor. You need to turn left as soon as you enter the main old town to get to the theatre buildings. Although the Napoleon Theatre isn't the most remarkable looking building in Kotor, it does have a small area outside at a height, from where you get great views of the entire city. I have attached some pictures with this review, one which shows the roof of the theatre and the fortress in the background. Worth going to only if you want some space to yourself in this beautiful old town!

One of the beneficial things Napoleon did for this part of Europe was to introduce "theater" here. To do so, he had to destroy things (but we all know he was good at that) and so he did just that here.

In 1810, destruction/construction was underway to accomplish his vision; he needed the square footage. Today, it is part of Hotel Cattro.

And, in 1979, an earthquake inflicted considerable damage and much reconstruction needed to take place.

It is located in the Main Square.
