Spicy walk to the top, but worth every stair... About 1500 I heard.. Take some drinks with you when it's hot.. Wonderful views. But the track needs some cleaning...

Really beautiful. You can take a hike on the city wall to take in the views or just admire the walls from street-view. Think it is a good option for the adventurous and the not so adventurous traveler.

Montenegro was one of the highlights of our trip. Transported to a magical bay that lights up at night. When here, you have to climb the city walls all the way to the top, the view is worth it and something i will never forget.

Absolutely amazing hike up to a stunningly gorgeous view. It is open 24/7, so you can go up whenever you want. I would absolutely recommend that you start the walk before 8am or after 8pm. There is a fee! Just a man in a chair,...More

We caught our first glimpses of the old fortifications as we neared the pier and looked forward to enjoying closer views when we returned from Cetinje. Alas, unexpected roadworks in Budva caused a delay of over two hours on the return trip and we had...More

Bring good foot wear and plenty of water. The views are fantastic with many postcard quality shots to be taken. Plan to walk the walls before 10 am because it can get very hot later in the day and to avoid the crowds. When the...More

Personally I'd say no. I don't remember seeing any children when I went last week. It's quite demanding... there are viewing points though before you get to the top, so maybe don't expect to be able to make it all the way... More
