The ambition was to get to the top and I did but it takes a couple of hours at a fair rate and is quite steep and the path is not all smooth steps. The walls are not complete but the view over the old...More

When in Kotor you have to do the city walls tour as it is absolutely fantastic and gives you breathtaking views of the town and the bay. You do have to be fit and able because there are some very steep steps.

The city walls of Kotor are fully preserved and a very large facility that encloses not only the old town, but also the rocks above it. They have three entrance gates around the city and climb to the highest point above the city.To climb above...More

We visited old town and a couple of old churches and Cathedrals. Some steep steps and limited "facilities". May not be recommendable for the elderly with climbing steps etc The main road going up the mountain is still under construction though driving should be much...More

Kotor is a gem of a find and well worth the visit. The wall is not as well maintained as in Dubrovnik. There are some steep areas up the mountain as you walk along the wall. You can choose to only climb part way too....More

There were a lot of stairs to climb up but the view was totally worth it. We just made a bee line for the top. There was even a guy selling cold cans of beer at the top. Would recommend on a clear day for...More

We got here right as the sun was setting which made the walled city look dramatic. Be careful climbing the steps as they could really be uneven which could make you slip. wear shoes that have a good grip on them. The town itself feels...More

Climbing up is not so hard and worth to see the view of the bay from any part of the whole trip. Dont miss it if you spend some time around here.

Personally I'd say no. I don't remember seeing any children when I went last week. It's quite demanding... there are viewing points though before you get to the top, so maybe don't expect to be able to make it all the way... More

Hi Stimbo, I did the walk in March, and went up and down the same route. We started near La Dolce Vita Apartments and it is quite a trek, but worth it for the views. I've heard that it is 1400 steps and that might be... More
