You can't go to Kotor and not climb the city walls to the fortress. It may be 1000+ steps, but it's well worth it for the amazing views and historical feelings. There are lots of hidden nooks and crannies to explore as well. At one...More

Coming from Wales i'm pretty use to being around mountains and this it a fairly sedate climb in normal conditions. Pair it with the excessive summer heat and the state of disrepair that the steps have fallen into it can border the dangerous in parts....More

This is a longish hike, but the views are spectacular. My wife says it’s good for burning off the dessert calories from the cruise ship. Definitely wear good shoes and bring some water. Not recommended for smaller children’s those afraid of heights or not able...More

It takes 30-40 min to go up the 265 meter high wall to the highest point. But it well worth going in the morning. You will have some very beautiful pictures, especially if you go up in a beautiful day.

The cruise ship stopping here was worth the whole cruise. While these cities in Europe all seem the same we were impressed with the little street and shops.

The views are amazing on the city walls. However beware if you buy your tickets at the gate they try to rip you off and do not give back the correct amount of change. Give them the exact amount and do not give them large...More

The medieval town of Kotor is encircled by imposing walls built between the 9th and 14th centuries. The walls stretch for three miles, are up to 42 feet thick and 66 feet high. Climb the over 1300 steps to St John’s fortress for an outstanding...More

We had a wonderful visit to Kotor. Several churches, mostly Catholic, and all are beautiful to see and wonder through. The Cathedral is beautiful and has a wonderful display of Relics on the upper floor. Very interesting!

It depends on how fit you are. If it takes 2 hours to walk up though you are not fit enough! As for cost 8 euros.
